We had the good fortune of connecting with Aubre Boose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aubre, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I am a dual enrollment student, but art has always been there to help me through my toughest days. Ever since I was little, I was able to interpret my feelings through the songs I sang, the dances I danced, and the lyrics I wrote. Because school was a place that I had to be at every day, I would put all my effort into finding the right passion. My love for writing and reading grew from making my own poems and imagining the intriguing stories of every book. My love for acting was a result of my eye for the spotlight and building character, and I’ve enjoyed theater since the beginning of my career. My love for dancing grew when I found out about genres other than pointe ballet, such as hip-hop and jazz. My love for singing started when I was in the womb, as my mom puts it. I soon discovered that I too could sing like a pop star. I am pursuing an artistic/creative career because I have never looked at any other career and said, “That is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life.” Art is the color of my window, the light of my soul, the sound of my ears, and the joy of my life. There is nothing else I’d rather do!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My path in the artist industry is unlike any other because I want to make art that is not limited to one aspect of the field. I would like to showcase a diverse arrangement of skills that many could be inspired by. I want to make more music that has underlying messages that most can relate to, being reminded that they are not alone. No one is alone in this world, and although this concept is difficult to grasp, I want to speak to people at high volumes. I’m ecstatic to someday perform in concerts all around the world, and to redeem the side of art that should never be forgotten: the message. Whether that message is about staying strong, challenging yourself, determining who you are, aging, or loving, I want to experiment with so many different genres and call out to people all over the world. You can hear my music on all streaming platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.! I’ve created songs of different genres, and they all emphasize various strong emotions. I aspire to make many more masterpieces in the near future. More about my background, I’ve had the opportunity of being in incredible shows! I’ve competed in dance competitions, one being the Contest of Champions; I’ve played in many musical theaters and starred as Gretchen Weiners in the musical “Mean Girls”; I’ve performed in the Florida Grand Opera in the famous work “La Boheme.” Summer 2023 I have an upcoming performance in the Sydney Opera House in Australia. So many experiences have shaped who I am today, and I’ve developed a beautiful understanding of the craft that constitutes a full production. As I’ve mentioned before, art can never be limited to one type of skill, and the chance to learn about all of them is fascinating.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When you come to Florida, especially around Miami, I highly recommend heading to the main beaches! There are so many, including South Pointe Park, Hollywood Beach, and Key Biscayne. Oleta Park in North Miami Beach is great for water and outdoor activities such as kayaking and biking. There is also Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami, where you’ll be fully submerged in a tropical shopping center, speed boats, and a large Ferris wheel. You could indulge in an artistic trip to Wynwood, where the walls are coated in art and museums flood the area, including one of my favorites, the Paradox Museum. What all of these spectacular places have in common are the diverse community of people enjoying their stay and the multitude of restaurants that line the streets for you. You’ll never get bored strolling along the roads of downtown Miami, Brickell, and South Beach. Miami is a city worth visiting!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my journey to continuing the arts to multiple special people in my life. First and foremost, I want to thank God. Without God, I would be lost in this world, and my passion for the arts would probably have never persisted. He continues to bring me everlasting hope, and his words never let me down. The verse that I find myself saying every day is: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” Psalm 119: 105. These very words give me the hope that I need to stay strong through adversity and tumbling obstacles. Next, I want to thank my incredible mom. Since the beginning of my life, she has always wanted me to be satisfied with what I was doing. If it wasn’t for her, I would not have been able to make music while still in school, and with her, I have someone there by my side to support my every step. She’s a hard-working woman to be managing everything that she’s been through, and I could not thank her enough for her brilliance. I love you, mom! Lastly, I want to thank my family for growing me into a culture that brought me so much originality and individuality. My older sister and older brothers have greatly influenced my life, and the amount of love I have for them is insurmountable. I am extremely honored to give a big shout-out to everyone who has supported me through this journey!
