We had the good fortune of connecting with Benoit Pagliardini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Benoit, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I decided to start Casa Bake right in the middle of COVID. I was an executive pastry chef for a company in Miami and decided that what I was doing for them I could do it for myself. Always wanted to test myself and see if I was able to be an entrepreneur and if I were to like it. I saw it as a new professional challenge. I also saw the opportunity to make great products from scratch with natural ingredients, without any preservatives. Nowadays a lot of cafes or even bakeries sell products that come from a frozen box and are made by machines and industrial full of bad ingredients.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Casa Bake is an artisanal French bakery located in Miami. We bake pastries, bread and cakes from scratch using high-quality ingredients. We also provide pastry classes in our atelier. Our most popular one is the croissant class. We do not use any preservatives in our products. We bake fresh products every day and are committed to giving our customers the best product possible daily. We use unique recipes and traditional techniques to elaborate our products.
We take very great pride in offering the products we have. We decided to do this bakery to be able to offer our products to our community.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We will visit various of my favorite restaurants ( Matsuri, Boia De, Cowy Burger ), and we will go play padel and golf. Spend a day at the beach in North Miami Beach. Probably go to the Everglades. Drink some cocktails at the famous Calle 8.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents! They always supported me whatever I wanted to do in life. I joined the pastry world a little late and whatever I wanted to do with my life they always supported me. I left my country 8 years ago and they have been present in the process ever since.
