Hi beverly, what matters most to you?
I believe in honesty and transparency as well as an open line of communication. These components are the building blocks for a successful event. A wedding planner isn’t just a vendor, a great wedding planner is so much more. I am with my client(s) from the beginning to the very end and each and every step in between. Besides selecting flowers and wedding cakes, designing ballrooms, and tasting menu items, I get to know my clients on a very personal level and I appreciate their trust in me as they share everything. The more I know, the easier I can advise, plan, and assist to ensure a stress-free, beautiful, and most incredible day. I pride myself on the relationships I have with my clients both past and present. It brings me immense pleasure to develop such relationships and to be part of such important milestone moments. I may start out as their wedding planner, but we always come out being friends. I think all of us have learned in the past few years that we must celebrate life each and every day and that’s what I love to do!

What should our readers know about your business?
Ever since I was a little girl – even as far back as elementary school – I was always the one who was asked to create something whether it be the title for a science experiment, a teacher’s bulletin board, or the cover of a book report. As I got older, I continued to do such tasks on a more advanced level – and many others – as well as seamlessly coordinate every friend’s birthday party, youth group function, fundraiser, and the list goes on. I even started writing candle-lighting poems for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs in middle school. It just came naturally to me and I loved it.

Throughout the decades, I continued developing and curating my skills through both professional and personal avenues. Just a few years ago, I finally opened my own boutique agency, beverly diane party consultants where I celebrate the written word and life’s milestone moments. I’ve been told that my creative passion, sense of humor, and flair for details are why my blogs, articles, promotions, and events are always memorable. It’s my belief that every girl deserves a fairy tale wedding and I put my heart and soul into making that happen. I am proud that my brides always call me their fairy godmother. Cinderella had a fairy godmother so why shouldn’t you?

What lessons have you most recently learned while building your business?
Nothing is easy, especially in this industry with so much competition out there. Toss in a pandemic and no one knew what would happen to us. This was a most challenging time, but I had to continue hustling. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will? The lesson presented is quite a cliche but so true…life is short. I believe we need to live it and celebrate it…each and every day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Prior to the pandemic, I actually planned a lavish milestone birthday for my best friend who wanted to celebrate in South Beach. I booked everyone at The Delano and we spent 6 days dining at the best restaurants such as Prime 112, Joe’s, and OLA, shopping in Bal Harbour Shops, visiting Wynwood Walls, walking Lincoln Road, and lounging by the pool. Soaking in the culture just as much as the sun is always a good idea in Miami.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to recognize my husband who also just happens to be a well-known floral decorator in the South Florida event industry. This is not an ordinary career choice, it is a passion. When one has passion there are countless hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, so having the extra love, encouragement, and support is always welcome. Most recently, we got to be on the other side as we planned, designed, and executed our own wedding. Having a partner with the same enthusiasm and drive make us unstoppable as well as an asset to all our clients who hire us.
