We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Coletti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, how does your business help the community or world?
My business is based on supporting my community by keeping it local. Our team of Patternmaker’s, cutter, and seamstress have been w me for over + 15 years. We create everything in-house from our graphics, prints, patterns, samples and cut is still done by hand as it’s important to conserve the heritage of sewing. Also importantly I am on the programming board of Fashion Group International, Creative arts committee of Beacon Council, among others, but these organizations are based on helping and connecting our local contacts and skills to support our community.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am artist by nature. With my own label I am able to create all our prints and re-colors. This sets me apart by having our own collection as a designer is a great privilege. We also create paper patterns and samples in-house and that’s an incredible creative outlet of joint forces along w Patternmaker and Samplemaker. I absolutely love this process!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Unfortunately most places are closed due to the virus. However on a typical weekend I would take my friends to The Standard for afternoon sunset drinks/ early dinner. Then to some cool hotel as Faena for socializing; music or dancing. Rest of weekend we would spend at Soho Beach House.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes absolutely! Mrs Charlene Parsons. She was my fashion merchandising & design college teacher and now leads the university curriculum. She is an outstanding, elegant, beautiful woman who has dedicated her life to Fashion and teaching. She has become not only a mentor, but someone I really look up too! And to my lawyer Danielle Garno, she has believed in me since the moment we met. Also she is bad-ass mom of 4 gorgeous daughters and her love of fashion is timeless, elegant and sophisticated.
