We had the good fortune of connecting with Jianny Adamo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jianny, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
For the past three days, I’ve been at a beautiful waterfront home, house-sitting. The house is welcoming and inviting. If I was to design a home with a perfect setting, this is it! Views of the rising sun, lush tropical landscape giving way to docked and passing boats. I sleep soundly and wake up refreshed by the sounds of rain outside in the courtyard or the chimes blowing in the wind. It’s idyllic.
Yet, I have tossed around the idea of leaving ever since I got here! My friend, an artist, is laid back and loves animals. I, a bit of a clean freak, don’t like to share my dwelling with dead or nearly dead lizards, geckos, roaches and other uninvited guests found in paradise. I am a therapist and leadership coach whose calling is to help individuals and couples cultivate healthy communication, build soulful connections, and break free from toxic patterns and generational cycles—empowering them to create a legacy of love, respect, and flourishing families.

Just like you, I’ve wrestled with the question a million times: should I keep going, or should I give up? In love, in my career, even in keeping promises to friends, I’ve stood at this crossroad more often than I can count. And truthfully, I’m standing there again right now.

Is this a solvable problem? Depending on how difficult or life-altering the decision is I have various channels I process.

I listen to my feelings, but I also listen to my body. Feelings get stuck in both positive and negative emotions so by looking at the body that can become a deal breaker. Here, my body is sleeping soundly, restful.

I look at the logic – what are my values around this issue, what is the impact on me and my relationship, what are the long and short term affects, what’s the impact on my environment and community, etc.?

Turning to my faith to seek guidance through prayer, meditation and reading scripture, gives me peace in the mist of the storm.

If needed, I seek out wise counsel by speaking to loved ones and/or professionals.

At the end, I follow the path of peace in my life. In this scenario, cleaning up the mess and following through on my word not only gives me peace but enriches my relationship. There are no perfect environments or relationships, yet when we are grounded in who we are things can be perfectly imperfect.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
With nearly 20 years of clinical experience and as an Amazon best-selling author, I am passionate about helping individuals and couples transform pain into purpose and create thriving, love-centered relationships. In 2011, just one year after my divorce, I founded Fearless Love—born from my own journey of heartbreak and healing. Licensed in FL and NJ, I work with high-achieving professionals ready to release fear, limiting beliefs, and toxic dynamics to create a flourishing legacy.

My work specializes in trauma recovery, intimacy, and personal transformation, drawing from the science of love, faith and spirituality, family systems theory, attachment science, epigenetics, and neuroscience. Through a trauma-informed lens, I help my clients uncover and heal the patterns that block them from experiencing a happy and healthy marriage or partnership.

My story begins in the Dominican Republic, where I was born before immigrating to the U.S. as a child. Although I graduated at the top of my class, I carried the weight of unresolved childhood trauma, family crises, and toxic relationship patterns. Despite years of couples therapy, I was left feeling unseen and unchanged. Those struggles became the fuel for my calling. They led me to study psychology, relationship dynamics, and theology—not only to heal my own wounds, but to become the therapist and mentor I once longed for. Today, every hardship I’ve overcome shapes the way I show up for my clients: with compassion, wisdom, and the conviction that no pain has to define your story—you can heal, grow, and love beyond fear. Change your story and you will change your life!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with a walking tour of Downtown Delray Beach. I love it here and its been my home for 15 years! I love the art galleries, cafes, rooftop bars and of course our beautiful beaches. I happen to love gardens so a tour of the Morikami preferably during one of their night events would be best. And if my friend loves to shop, like I do, thrifting in Palm Beach County is a mecca for fabulous treasures. I discovered this when I bought my home during the pandemic. There were little to no new furniture available since the factories had been closed world wide. I learned I could have high-end furnishings without the high-end cost! It’s recycling at its best. Now, thrifting is one of my favorite activities in the area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank my mom. She taught me to never give up on myself and my dreams. Gracias, Mami!
