We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Cutait and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So I currently run two completely different business: an art practice and a CBD brand, and while both businesses had similar starts, they however have had very opposite trails to path. I can honestly say that I started both from the same ground up – passion! I have always known that I wanted to work with art and I just made myself emotionally available all my young life to do so. And most recently, about 7 years ago, I started using CBD to help with the chronic migraines I suffer from, and I researched so much about it that I became what you can call an expert. And coming from a medical family, studying and researching about this product that all of a sudden was miraculously helping me live without pain, was a given. I believe our passions are disguised as our hidden talents, and we should try to pursue them as much as possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am nowhere where I have planned to be, and yet I have learned to trust the steps to get there. Some days I want to give it all up, but I try to snap out of it because I believe we do not really have a choice to do so. Once we start, the only direction we have is forward. And as I mentioned before, I am very lucky to have amazing examples of people around me, and this is a cycle. We take in from others and give back further. As for challenges, I would need another one of those phonebooks, but they come to make us stronger, wiser, more resilient. We as humans have morals, and therefore we are morally obligated to give our best. That’s how we plan to have AYE CBD thrive: choosing the best products we could possibly find and using our integrity to make our clients happy. The best example for that is our tincture, a very common product in the CBD market. But we tried a whole lot of them to learn what really worked and what really, really didn’t. And now we are of the few brands that have a super strong product with all lab certifications. This product is the epitome of what we have been working for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have actually made this itinerary for a real trip my friend Melike is planning on as soon as traveling starts again, but I am guessing she will stay a little longer that 1 week because we all need that kind of a break. And Miami has amazing non-springbreakers’ spots which we as locals enjoy. For instance I will take her to the amazing art collections around the city, such as the Margulies collection, the De La Cruz’s, the Mikesell’s Fountainhead studios, the Rubell museum and of course the Jorge Perez collection at El Espacio 23. We will have to go to the beach and Soho House is my second home here, so there’s the spot. And as for food, I actually cook really well so I am guessing we will eat in a lot, but I will take her to Joe’s of course, and to KYU because everyone needs to try that crazy cauliflower. I will probably also take her to some latin spots, like Ball & Chain para bailar una salsita, and El Tucan for awesome drinks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would need an old-school phone book to acknowledge the people I have had in my life that inspire me on a daily basis. My father is my number one inspiration/encourager/mentor/life coach – he is a brave and yet kind man who saves lifes, and he is married to my mother, who is the most generous person ever. That is a good start right there. But I am very fortunate to be surrounded by smart people, my friend and business partner in AYE CBD, Ms. Flora Marques – the woman is a walking encyclopedia with a sense of humor. My niece Luisa has given me a new perspective in life during the pandemic. My mentor Mohammed Bassiouni who never gave up on me. Manena, an angel soul in Miami who lifts me up all the time. My spiritual brother and marketing genius Joca Guanaes who makes me understand things every turn in a different way. The great artist whom I have the pleasure of working with Rubem Robierb, and whom I would give my life for. I am lucky to have such amazing people surround me, and I try to do the same for others.
