We had the good fortune of connecting with Big Wyno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Big Wyno, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?

As a creative force, I was always drawn to the world of art and poetry through Hiphop. Despite the fears and doubts of others, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had something unique to offer the world. Growing up surrounded by the influence of Hiphop only strengthened my passion for creativity. From the way I think and express myself, to the art I create and even my business dealings, every aspect of my life is infused with the spirit of Hiphop. Pursuing my passions wasn’t just a decision, it’s a way of life.

And the numbers show it’s paying off – the global creative industry is worth over $2 trillion, and continues to grow year over year. Creatives like myself are at the forefront of this movement, pushing boundaries and inspiring change. And it’s been a dope journey it’s been so far.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

The Rated Ill brand embodies this drive and determination, pushing the boundaries of creativity and leaving a positive impact on the world. Our message is simple: no matter what you do in life, if you give it your all, you can be RATED ILL. And the statistics speak for themselves – we’ve seen a steady increase in brand recognition and impact, with more and more people drawn to our message of excellence and positivity.

I believe I have unique blend of art, culture, and entrepreneurship. I’m an Emcee, indie label owner, apparel designer, promoter, networker, and dot connector, all with the common thread of my love for Hiphop Culture. I also believe where I came from sets me apart. From this intense learning period in my journey from an orphaned and homeless child to a thriving businessman, offering a unique perspective on the ever-growing media, entertainment, and promotion industries. I am always eager to share my roots since they seem to shape many successful gorilla marketing campaigns, creative ads and high level promotion for brands and businesses.

The industries I’m in are worth over $1.5 trillion globally. I attribute my success to my never-ending pursuit of knowledge, my relentless work ethic, and my determination to never let fear or negativity stop me. I only compete with myself and always strive for the win-win in every situation.

Man, what a journey from meager and humble beginnings to a thriving creative force. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, and I hope you’ll join me and our team for the ride!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with immense gratitude for the love, support, and encouragement that has been showered upon me by the most important people in my life. My wife Leegoddess, who has been my rock, my source of strength, and my unwavering support system through thick and thin.

My brother from another mother, HavenAQ, who has been a sounding board for me, always providing a listening ear and offering sage advice.

Kelsi Schnitter, who has been a steadfast supporter and a constant source of positivity in my life.

DJ OG ONE, who has been a patient mentor, guiding me and showing me the ropes in the from an experienced honest perspective.
