We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandy, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business has taught me would have to be patience. A lot of times when we look at other successful business owners, we think that’s going to be us over night. I never really thought about how much time and energy I really had to put into it. Being patient has really taught me to take my time and be able to accept the good and the bad. I know my business is not going to become successful over night and I now realize that everyday is not going to be a good day. But, I continue to keep pushing and manifesting positivity over my business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The goal of my business is to help individuals repair their credit scores and in the process teach them the importance of financial literacy. Growing up like many other people, I was never taught the importance of having great credit and being financially free. When I turned 18 all I wanted to do was spend and in the process I ended up ruining my credit at a young age and I had a lot of debt. I decided to take control of my situation and I repaired my credit score and taught myself money management. I was able to raise my credit score and have more control over my finances. I was very excited to be able to purchase a newly build home before I turned 30 for me and my kids. My story is what helped me to be inspired to start my business, I wanted to help individuals to be able to do what I did. Being a business owner has not been easy. There are days where I might get a client and there are days where I may not get a client. The way that I overcame that challenge was by always thinking positive, never giving up and to never feel discouraged. When I first started my business there were many mistakes that I made such as not always being consistent and thinking that my success will come over night. I had to learn to take my time, do the work and be consistent with it and to also be patient. I want the world to know that my goal is to teach others the importance of having great credit and managing their finances. When my clients are able to improve their credit and purchase their dream homes and cars that makes me excited because I was able to help them reach their goal.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, the first place I would take my best friend would Shooters Waterfront for brunch, in Fort Lauderdale. I think they are one of the top restaurants for brunch and I know that she would love sitting by the ocean and enjoying a glass of Mimosas. After brunch we would head to Dave and Busters, we are both kids at heart and it is a place that she has always wanted to go. We would also checkout Rapids Water Park, Drive Shack in West Palm Beach, definitely a spa day. Then take a ride down to Bayside Miami and enjoy the restaurants and bars. For shopping we would head to Sawgrass mall. We would take a ride to Orlando and do some shopping at the outlet. Finally, we would head to Universal Studios for a day of excitement and fun. .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my family. Since I’ve started this journey they have been very supportive of me. The encouragement that they give me each day is amazing and it helps to keep me motivated.
