We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Beaty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, what matters most to you?
Choosing to do EVERYTHING with joy. If you can’t do something with joy – your friend asks you to help them move… Can you show up happy to help OR will you show up rolling your eyes that they should have hired someone? If the latter is the case just say no. If you do go – get right with your head and show up honored that you were asked and do your best. True of all things and makes such a difference.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I studied Hospitality Management and Marketing at the University of Florida. I really have a heart for hospitality- being part of giving someone the gift of a great experience and those memories is so fulfilling.

I started my internship at the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach then the Shore Club in Miami. Feeling a part of a work family when my “office” was such a hot spot was pure magic. Finding creative solutions to guest and employee challenges, the rush of a fully booked property – ahh it still makes me feel high.

I got to learn from the best and it was thrilling but wow – it is a lifestyle.

You live your work and work is your life. I had NO work boundaries and happily worked all the time.
I am STILL learning to set work boundaries, but gosh its hard when you love what you do.

I transitioned to the marketing side and eventually started both Flavor Palm Beach and Palm Beach Moms as side gigs before jumping in full time. Running two business that also have hospitality and marketing at heart – I feel so blessed.
Being able to start slow and on the side felt safer, but required juggling and prioritizing. Becoming a parent to 3 made my plate ‘fuller” but priorities clearer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh I just got to do this!

Tour the lighthouse in Jupiter then go for dinner at Beacon for that view.

Stay at the Brazilian Court, ride bikes to the beach and do the bike trail, stroll Worth Avenue (stop in Stubbs and Wooton for the shoes and the fab Cuban art collection0, lunch at Cafe Boulud on the patio. Dinner at La Goulue and dessert and drinks at Le Bar.

Go for yoga at Thrive Power yoga, walk the West Palm green market, late lunch at Restoration Hardware rooftop, stroll Rosemary Square and make sure to pop into Rohis readers and The Gardens Shoppe, dinner at Limoncello.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family for all the love, support and patience I could wish for. Ian at Phase 9 for being all the things, Kelly Ring, Hallie Rosenthal, Cristyle Egitto, David Sabin, The Venture X team, Beth Aschenbach, Lacey Ivancevic, Matthew Pargamanet, Walid Sfeir, Ian Schrager, Ben Pundole, Urs Keller and so many more for support, kindness, and mentorship throughout the years.
