We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolyn compres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carolyn, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have always been drawn to the power of self-expression and the ability to convey emotions and stories through fashion and style. From a young age, I found joy in exploring different artistic mediums and experimenting with my creativity. The process of bringing ideas to life and making a meaningful impact through visuals has always been incredibly fulfilling for me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a Latina woman has deeply influenced my perspective, allowing me to infuse authenticity, diversity, and a sense of purpose into my designs. One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to who I am, even when faced with external pressures. This authenticity has not only shaped my brand but has also resonated with our audience. I believe in the power of sustainable practices not just as a business strategy but as a responsibility to the planet and future generations.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we stand for more than just fashion. We represent a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and creativity that transcends trends. I hope to inspire others, especially women and individuals from diverse backgrounds, to pursue their dreams and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we’re talking Miami

I would say-

Don’t miss Mandolin, Soho Beach House, Casa Tua, Gitano, Cipriani and the Jen’s Herb salad from Pura Vida.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My daughters Winter and Velvet have played a pivotal role in shaping not only who I am as a person but also as an entrepreneur. Witnessing their boundless creativity, resilience, and unique perspectives has motivated me to push boundaries, and think authenthentically. They have been a driving force behind my commitment to creating meaningful work. In essence, my daughters are not only a source of inspiration but also the catalysts that fuel my passion to be a better entrepreneur and infuse creativity into everything I do.
