We had the good fortune of connecting with Cesar Paniagua of Camelolloide and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Camelolloide, what do you want people to remember about you?
We believe that the music that we portray to the world is inspiration that comes within us in the purest and sincerest form. We always strive to do what feels good to us and that has been something that inspires people. So if you ask us what is the legacy that we want to leave behind, would definitely be the legacy of inspiring people to be themselves, to follow their paths in life trusting that everybody can contribute to the world in their very own way.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about you as a band, what can you share with our community?
We love having fun. Making, performing, recording our music is always times that we enjoy a lot, as musicians and as a family itself. You could say that in those terms could be easy, but there’s the other side of the coin, because you have to dedicate a lot of time, effort, rehearsals, networking, merch making, booking, concert planning (the list goes on) that has to be done. So it hasn’t been easy, but we have learned a lot which most of the time inspire us to do more music! We also feel proud of how mature our sound is every year. The crafting always go thru immense changes but always keeping its essence. We are very excited to see whats sounds are coming in the future for us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A one-day dream itinerary would be like… Waking up early in the morning to kayak biscayne bay before/during sunrise. For lunch we would go to El Atlakat (2273 NW 7th St, Miami, FL 33125) to have the best Central American type of lunch to have energy for the rest of the day. By sunset we would go to Buon Pane Italiano Bakery to grab a coffee and some goodies to take em to the beach and chill there for a while. Before heading out for our night plans, we would pregame with some Veza Sur beers (there will be high chances of seeing By Kanvas filming a an amazing urban-music legend while we pass by Wynwood) and pass by Miami Art Society that for sure will have an amazing art expo with the best and latest local art talent in Miami. The night will only get younger as we head to Smart Bites to hear Alejandro Elizondo’s music nights with friends where you can usually hear the best acts in town playing together, everybody singing and playing everybody’s songs <3 Fin.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to dedicate the shoutout to all the people that has been directly or indirectly involved in our musical path. From our families, to the supporters, the promoters and the cultural movements that have believed in the art we make.
