We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe Freytag and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chloe, what do you attribute your success to?
Resilience. I had a million reasons to give up. Low confidence, consistent rejection, roadblocks I ran into regularly, and false opportunities. My heart never gave up, and I always tried again. This is the main key to success. No one goes straight to the top right away. You have to believe in yourself, even when that seems impossible, and keep going against all odds.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Dance is in my DNA. I’ve been dancing since 2 years old. I’ll probably dance until my last breath. I think passion like that makes any challenge worth it. If I didn’t have this deep intense love for dancing I would have given up long ago. I am lucky and grateful to have found this passion so young. I have no memories that don’t involve dance and that’s very special. It’s truly part of my soul.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Eat at Sugar Cane- there is something for everyone and it’s a classic Miami ambiance with outdoor and often live music. Grab a tea and cookies at Pura Vida- perfect for a catch up session. And hang out in Wynwood- just to walk around and look at the murals always gives me inspiration (and impromptu photoshoots always turn out fabulous there!)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My bosses Jennifer Kronenberg and Carlos Guerra are also largely responsible for my success. They saw me at my lowest, and held my hand as I cautiously returned back to the stage, then lifted me up to heights I never knew I could reach. Sometimes it just takes the right people believing in you and taking chances on you, and that’s exactly what they did for me. I’ll be forever grateful and they know that.
