We had the good fortune of connecting with Chloe Laine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chloe, what do you attribute your success to?
As someone who grew up lucky enough to experience the magic of visiting the Orlando theme parks, I knew when I created my own company that I wanted what we provide to be the real deal. From our characters to our customer service, I wanted our clients to walk away with magical memories of an enchanting, and hassle free experience. There is nothing more priceless than the way a child’s eyes light up when they realize they’re meeting the “real” Cinderella, and that can only be achieved by putting the work into the small details. Children (especially those who are Fairytale Super Fans!) notice everything. From the way Cinderella’s earrings sparkle as she dances, to the tiny glass slippers embroidered in the fabric of her dress, there are many details that older guests might not notice, but your tiny one will. It’s also not just face value, though, as our performers are trained to perfection in each character. I create in-depth “guides” that our performers read on their characters that include everything from the way they speak, walk, dance, pose for photos, and even how they do their makeup to ensure that no matter which performer attends your event, you are meeting the real character every time. I truly believe our commitment to the magic in the details is what sets us apart, and encourages clients to book us year after year for their child’s party.

As the owner, and resident “Fairy Godmother” if you will, I spend my weekdays preparing the costumes, restyling the wigs (not a hair out of place!), packing everything for our performers to take to parties, coordinating schedules for the weekends coming up, booking new parties for clients, communicating with our clients for that coming weekend, and all while managing our social media channels on my magic mirror! Then the weekend comes, and it’s party time! That’s the magic that our clients see, but we are practically working 24/7, 7 days a week to make sure that magic is of the HIGHEST quality, and appears absolutely effortless.

The magic is truly in the tiniest details, and as industry professionals, we understand the importance of true quality and the power of real magic.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company, Best Day Ever! Magical Events and Princess Parties provides high quality character entertainment for children’s parties, corporate, and community events in South Florida. At first glance, people can mistake what we do for simply “dressing up” on the weekends, but it is so much more. From formal training in acting, singing, dancing, improv, to our thorough, and character specific training and custom made gowns and wigs, the lengths at which we go to create an immersive and magical experience for every party guest is something unique to us, and our team. These beloved and classic Storybook and SuperHero characters are role models to our children, and their adventures and morals inspire and spark imagination and joy for all ages. It’s about bringing joy to the families in our area, and helping them create precious and authentic memories. It’s the moment when you realize that the real Cinderella is at your party. It’s that first look, and sparkle in your child’s eye as they see their favorite character for the first time.

I have a little motto that I’ve adopted over these past few years that I feel not only represents us as a company but also myself as a person: “Make Life Magical.” To me, that means dreaming big and believing in miracles, while also putting in the conscious work, effort, and sometimes a little extra pixie dust to make each day special, because you’ll never get to relive it again.

When I began this company, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine growing to be supported and cherished by so many amazing clients, and to have an ever-expanding, elite group of performers who pour their hearts and soul into making memories for kids with the same passion I have. As a small business, we couldn’t be where we are without the community that we are so very lucky to have.
I say it a lot, but I say it because it’s true; We are blessed to attend our client’s parties and events to create and share precious moments year after year.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Florida is a beautiful place, rich with performing arts, good times, and good food! One of our favorite spots of all time is Teapots and Treasures Cafe and Curiosities in Juno Beach, FL! It’s been a staple here in Palm Beach County for over 20 years, and continues to thrive and grow in new and exciting ways. I actually grew up going for tea and brunch with my mother as a little girl, and always felt so welcomed and excited to go somewhere that felt like it was straight out of a storybook. From the beautiful linens on the table, to the delicious teas and cakes, I left feeling like royalty every time. To grow up and have my own business, and be able to partner with them these last few years to bring our clients exciting and magical events together has been a true honor, and it will always be one of our very favorite places!

If you’re a coffee lover (like me!), there are some great local coffee shops, and we are a BIG fan of Lingonberry Roastery and Bakery in Palm Beach Gardens, FL! They have fantastic coffee, fresh bread, pastries, sandwiches, and have a great atmosphere!
Last but not least, being in SoFlo, we have beautiful beaches, and you can never go wrong with any of them! Beaches like MacArthur State Park also have fun exhibits, and even kayak rental where you can paddle under the Burnt Bridge into the Lake Worth Lagoon and even visit Munyon Island.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Founding my company in August of 2019, right before the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, we only had a few events before lockdown. Our name was hardly out there at all, and I myself even doubted the future of the company, since our very service revolves around attending parties and events. There was one person who fully supported me from the beginning of 2019, through the pandemic, and to this day with full faith in my ability to own and operate my own business as a young woman; My mom, Tina.

She has always been my best friend, my theme park buddy, and my favorite person to talk all things Fairytales and Superheroes with, but no one had as much belief in my company as she did. She has supported me my entire life, in every single endeavor. From my background in professional musical theatre, to her driving me every day as a child and teen to go to dance and theatre class.

She was the first official Cast Member/Character Attendant at Best Day Ever other than myself before we hired our team of performers and attendants. If you’ve had an event with us, there’s a good chance you’ve seen her running music, taking photos, setting up backdrops, activities, and making our events run smoothly. Attending these parties and supporting my company is one of her favorite things to do, and I am very blessed to say so.
