We had the good fortune of connecting with Chnalie Galbart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chnalie, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
An important lesson that my business has taught me is to never give up and keep going no matter what. There are times where I wanted to throw in the towel or not get up out of bed because let’s be honest, having a business is not easy. It can make you depressed and want to give up. There are days where you will not meet expectations which can really take a toll on you. I have learned expectations, met or not, to keep trying. If something is not working out you have to go back to the drawing board and try, try, try again. Never give up and keep going no matter what!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art consists of enhancing beauty. As a lash and brow artist my #1 goal is to have you feeling and leaving glamorous.

What sets me apart from others is my passion and ability to create an environment catered to my clients. I love being able to make people feel confident within themselves because as the saying goes “when you look good you feel good”. In a world today where everything is hectic and people are going through their own battles, being able to at least look like you have everything together goes a long way. I cater to my clients by doing things like following up with them, asking them what type of music they would like to listen to, or even just be an ear for them to vent. My space is their oasis.

I am most proud of myself for not giving up and being able to get up every day chasing my dreams.

I always loved to watch YouTube videos of makeup, nails, skincare, anything beauty when I was younger. Overtime, I started really getting into makeup after high school. I would do peoples makeup for $20-$40$ or even for free sometimes so that I could get better at it. I loved the feeling of making someone feel beautiful because afterwards you could just see their confidence after. I was originally going to Palm Beach State for Biology because I wanted to be an Orthodontist, but, I knew that wasn’t for me. In 2020 I decided to go to Boca Beauty Academy to be a Full Specialist. I wanted to do it all! Skin facials, nails, makeup, brows, waxing, everything! Eventually, I doubled it down to eyelash extensions and brows because that’s what stuck to me. I practiced on anyone that was willing to be my test dummy until I perfected my craft. After graduating Boca Beauty around the end of 2021 I decided to venture out on my own and get an office space to be my own boss. It’s been history ever since.

Venturing out to be my own boss definitely had its ups and down. It still does! I don’t think I was ready to be on my own yet because I was scared and didn’t know what I was doing but I had to take that risk. Sometimes that’s just what you’re going to have to do in order to get to where you want to be. I overcame feeling scared and not knowing what I was doing by learning from trials and errors and reassuring myself that everything will work out for the best. The lessons that I’ve learned along the way is to never give up and keep trying. There are days where I felt like quitting because I wasn’t seeing certain results. Some days will be slow and some days will be busy. I’ve learned to appreciate both because I’m doing the best that I can and as long as I’m trying that is all that matters. Also, another lesson that I’ve learned is that not every one is going to see your vision. Believe in your dreams and chase them no matter what anyone says or thinks. It’s your life at the end of the day and you’re doing this for you!

I want the world to know that my brand is more than just lashes and brows. It’s a place where women (or men) can get away. Their hideaway. Their sanctuary. Their oasis. Not only do you leave feeling glamorous but you gain a person that you can trust and an environment where you can relax from the chaos.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I love trying out new foods and places to have fun. I would take them to the Norton Museum. Then, since we would already be in the area I would take them to rent out either a bicycle or a scooter and ride around downtown. For eats my favorite restaurant at the moment is True Food Kitchen so I would take them there and afterwards walk around and enjoy the scenery and also stop at desert places such as Angie’s Epicurean or Sloans. I’m pretty much open to do anything so the most fun I have is trying out new places and experiences around the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give the upmost shoutout to my mom for creating me into the person I am today. I also want to give a shout-out to my friends and family. I would list them by name but there is ALOT lol. You guys know who you are. Thank you to those who let me practice on them until I perfected my craft. Thank you to those who helped me set up my studio and gifted me my first scrub. Thank you to those that like, share, or engage with my business in anyway shape or form. I love and appreciate you guys.
