Meet Christian Tavier | Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Tavier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Been persistent and focused on reaching the goal, overcoming fears and surrounding my self with people that are ambitious and dedicated.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Becoming who I am today it’s something that makes me proud. My career as an actor in Puerto Rico has teached me to be patient and gain confidence. It excites me to know that every day I am learning and growing personally and professionally. It took me time to relate myself with people that are involved in the industry and contacting agencies so they can send auditions for me to cast. All I can say is, the journey was worth it. I overcame one of the biggest challenges for me: trusting on myself. Pursuing a career related to art, such as acting, one must be persistent. In the process, I received a lot of “no’s” from castings. Nevertheless, that did not stop me to continue auditioning. Through my career, I wish to inspire people who are afraid of following their dreams. Thus, I would like to see them enjoy my work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are a lot of cool spots here. If someone visits Puerto Rico, I will take them to eat criollo food, or as we call it here “comida criolla”. One of the most famous dishes is “mofongo”, which is made with plantains. Plus, I would take them to party at the Viejo San Juan and “La Placita” at Santurce. Puerto Rico is also known for its natural resources, such as El Yunque National Rainforest, and the Bioluminescent Bay. Lastly, I would definitely recommend Puerto Rican beaches. My favorites are Mar Bella, Playa Sucia, La Jungla, and many more. 

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my supporters for believing in me and appreciating my craft. Also, I want to thank my first theatre director, Ernesto Aquino. Finally, I thank Jc Actors, and Modesto Lacen for providing their knowledge and tolls to become a better actor.
