We had the good fortune of connecting with Christiano Mejias and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christiano, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Christiano Mejias Ltd actually came after years of hands-on experience. I started young—at 14 I launched CaseSmart, a small business selling iPhone accessories. That was my first real taste of entrepreneurship, and even though it was a simple venture, it taught me the basics of branding, marketing, and connecting with customers. As I got older, I started helping others with things like flyer design, social media posts, and business visuals. Eventually, I realized that I was consistently being called on for my creative input—and I genuinely enjoyed it. That’s when I decided to formalize it and launch Christiano Mejias Ltd, a business focused on graphic design, branding, and digital management. It felt like a natural next step, combining my creative skills with the business mindset I’ve been developing since CaseSmart.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work through Christiano Mejias Ltd is all about helping businesses, especially small, growing brands show up professionally and confidently online. I specialize in graphic design, branding, and social media management, but what really sets me apart is how personal I make the process. I take time to understand my clients, their stories, their goals—so the end product doesn’t just look good, it actually represents them. That’s something I’m really proud of: the ability to connect and help others bring their vision to life.

Getting to this point definitely wasn’t easy. I’ve been balancing business, school, and managing type 1 diabetes. There were moments I felt burnt out or unsure, but I kept reminding myself why I started. I learned early on that consistency beats perfection. Showing up every day..even when I didn’t feel 100%, made all the difference.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, patience, and a lot of uncomfortable moments. But if you stay rooted in your purpose, everything else falls into place.

What I want the world to know is that Christiano Mejias Ltd isn’t just a business. It’s a reflection of my story. I built it from a place of passion, discipline, and creativity. And I hope that through my work, I can inspire other young people to believe in their ideas, no matter how early or “unpolished” they may seem. Because honestly, this journey isn’t about having it all figured out, it’s about having the courage to start.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d kick things off with a night at 519, because this has been my favorite restaurant for years.

During the day, we’d hit up Rising Star Restaurant for drinks.

Mid-week, I’d take them to Maracas Beach. Bake and shark, sea breeze, and that long drive..it’s the ultimate reset.

Then, for something more high-energy and fun, we’d head to Five Islands Water & Amusement Park. It brings out the inner kid in everyone, and it’s just one of those places where you can let loose.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely. There’s no way I’d be where I am without the love and support of a few key people. First and foremost, my mother. She’s the definition of strength and resilience. Watching her build Pretty Lee’s Cuisine from the ground up while still showing up for our family has been one of my biggest sources of inspiration. She’s not just a mother…she’s a businesswoman, a mentor, and my biggest cheerleader.

I also have to shout out my step-father and my grandfather, who’s been a constant in my life. They’ve made sure I’ve had access to the best education and healthcare, especially after I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Their sacrifices push me to stay focused and grounded.

And then there are the teachers and mentors who’ve seen something in me and encouraged me to go after it as well a other young entrepreneurs in my country like Ornella Luces (Nella Love Ltd.).

So yeah, while I put in the work, I stand on the shoulders of the people who believed in me before the world ever saw what I could do.
