We had the good fortune of connecting with Claire Schneider and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Claire, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity and connection. Any work from the very start of creating until the end, will remain bringing a thought/daydream of my own to life. I also believe in always remaining open to new ideas and collaborations with other artists. Art has always been a huge inspiration to me. Ever since I was a kid, I would see a piece of work and think “That. That’s what I want to do when I’m older”. If I get the chance to have the same effect on somebody, then I’d say I am aligning with exactly what I am trying to do here.

What began as a pastime during a personally dim period and collectively difficult year, quickly became a therapeutic outlet. What came after the darkness, was light. My intention is to formulate a style that is funky yet functional. Not only for connection, but in hopes to add a little light and color into the space of anyone who needs it. Offering a multitude of products including wall decor, furniture, as well as entertainment items, there is something for everyone. Working with a medium such as resin can be messy and unpredictable if not precise. The process has deepened my understanding of an end result may not turn out the way you’d plan or expect, no matter the weight of your conceptualization. With the importance of patience and acceptance in mind, it has taught me to let go and trust the process.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I first discovered resin from my best friend Coco Reedy. I’ll never forget one of the first nights we ever hung out she was blaring music with a torch in hand, letting the paint move how it wanted. A few years later (2020), I found myself in a dark place mentally. Her and I were drinking red wine on a wintery night, and she pulled out some leftover resin she had. Learning how to work with this medium and letting my hands do the rest of the work, was exactly the distraction and glimpse of hope I needed during that time. I was hooked and haven’t stopped since. I have her to thank for providing a light for me.
