Meet Clarita Volovitz | Partner & Luxury Travel Advisor at AZA Luxury Travel

We had the good fortune of connecting with Clarita Volovitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clarita, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I worked as an independent contractor at a local travel agency for 5 years. I loved my job but felt like something was missing. At that moment, I came to the realization that I wanted to create my own brand -a unique identity- and set myself apart from the competition by offering an extremely high-level of detail to an affluent clientele.
Simultaneously, I was about to reach a breaking point where I couldn’t keep up with demand and would need to start turning down customer requests, so I knew the only way of growing my business was to create a team of like-minded and very well traveled individuals; Hotel buffs, AvGeeks and others alike, who had a real passion for (luxury) travel.
Finally, during an educational group trip to Bali in 2019, my husband and I met our -now- business partner, Angela. Fueled by our unrelenting passion for travel, we made chemistry instantly! We kept in touch, and a few months later decided to formally join forces. Enter AZA Luxury Travel; A highly specialized, boutique luxury travel agency. In a matter of only 2 years, we have grown to a team of 8 passionate and dedicated travel professionals with an incredible travel background. Now, we are better suited than ever to service our clients and assist them with designing unforgettable journeys.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
One of my biggest distinctions as an advisor is making sure to always provide my clients with unbiased and objective recommendations. I have personally visited most of the destinations and properties that I recommend -and if I haven’t, one of our travel professionals most likely has. As such, I am able to advise on everything from the best seats on a given aircraft to the most suitable room category for each client at a particular property.
The foundation behind my on-going success is that I always provide my clients with a timely response, meticulous planning and willingness to fulfill just about any request, no matter how personalized they may be. I take pride in going the extra mile to get to know each and every one of my clients in a personal manner to ensure I am able to design experiences that are specifically tailored to their individual wants and needs.
I got to where I am today professionally thanks to my dedication, strong passion for travel and my desire to chase the most rewarding travel experiences across the globe and sharing them with my clients. Starting wasn’t easy -to say the least. It took an immeasurable amount of effort to build my book of business from scratch and to earn my clients trust and respect, but my passion for luxury travel was too contagious and I quickly started to attract like-minded discerning clients who valued my level of service, attention to detail and profound knowledge in this space.
The biggest lesson I have learned is that the only way to be successful in this industry is to be extremely passionate and dedicated, and most importantly, to understand my clients on an emotional level. To be able to take their leisure time – their most precious time – and create life-long memories with it.
I want the world to know that my story is just one of many examples of how you can turn your passion into your profession. I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. I take great pride in what I do and what makes me the happiest is being able to bring my clients’ dream trips to life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first head to the design district for some designer window shopping and grab a cappuccino at Dior Café. Then I would stop for lunch at Mandolin Aegean Bistro – a local favorite.
Finish off the day at Wynwood – known for its many colorful graffiti walls and showcasing works by some of the best known street artists. I would then grab dinner at either KYU (modern Asian fusion) or Uchi (for some of the best sushi in town) and then go bar hopping at one of the cervecerias in Wynwood.
A day trip to Palm Beach is also a must. Stopping by the iconic, The Breakers Hotel, followed by some shopping in Worth Avenue and lunch at Sant Ambroeus.
Dinner at Boia De can’t be missed! This local favorite just earned its first Michelin star. Sandwiched between a medical center and laundromat you would never expect to have such an amazing meal in this hidden gem.
Another fun plan – spend a day at the stunning Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club. Get some treatments at their Forbes 5 star spa, followed by drinks at The Champagne Bar and dinner at Lido for delicious Italian food or for something more fine-dining The Surf Club (by Michelin starred chef Thomas Keller).
Wednesday night I would head to Bodega to hear some live music paired with some late night tacos and tequila.
For a fun night out and dinner party I love Baoli or Marion and they are great any day of the week but Thursday to Saturday night will have a better scene and vibe.
Saturday I would head to the beach and to Joia Beach for sunset cocktails. Then go to Faena for dinner and Cabaret show. If they want to continue the party I would take them to Liv – Miami’s most famous night club for some world-renowned DJs and late night partying.
Sunday I would definitely go on the boat for some swimming and stop for brunch at Zuma or Seaspice. For dinner, Lucali has some of the best pizza in town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The obvious answer is my husband and business partner: Jeremy Fleischman.
Aside from being my best friend, he has also been my mentor and biggest supporter from day 1, even through the most challenging times. When the COVID pandemic hit, we were out of a job from one day to the next and he always inspired that confidence in me to keep going and utilize that “down time” wisely and prepare for the comeback of travel, which is now very much upon us.
Jeremy helped me turn my hobby and passion into a successful and reputable travel company. He always pushes me to go out of my comfort zone, encourages me to stay positive, even through the most complex of situations, and most importantly, inspires me to work harder every day. For that, I will forever be grateful to him.
