We had the good fortune of connecting with Corrado Amenta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corrado, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success—and the success of Onkei—has been staying rooted in clarity and consistency. I’m not here to follow trends. I’m here to create timeless work that actually matters to people. Onkei was built on that idea: capturing moments that matter, with excellence and intention.

We specialize in event and lifestyle photography and videography, but it’s more than just showing up with a camera. Whether it’s a high-energy concert, a corporate gathering, or an editorial shoot for a brand, our goal is the same—deliver unforgettable visuals that feel real, clean, and human.

Clients trust us because we bring calm professionalism, creative sharpness, and an obsession with details. No fluff, no ego. Just a commitment to doing things right, every time. And that’s what keeps the work coming—not just one-off gigs, but long-term relationships built on trust and results.

At the end of the day, success for me isn’t just about growth. It’s about alignment—doing work I’m proud of, keeping my time and values protected, and surrounding myself with people and projects that reflect who I am. Onkei exists because of that mindset, and it continues to grow because I never lost sight of it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is clean, intentional, and emotionally grounded. I don’t just show up with a camera—I show up with purpose. Whether it’s a high-profile event or a lifestyle shoot for a brand, I’m focused on capturing real moments that matter. That’s what Onkei is all about—delivering timeless visuals with clarity and precision, without the chaos or fluff.

What sets me apart is the way I work: calm, prepared, and in control. I’m not the loudest person in the room, but I’m the one people trust to get it done right. Clients know they can count on me to deliver, no matter the pressure or environment.

In the early years, the studio focused solely on weddings. That season shaped everything. Weddings teach you to work fast, solve problems on the fly, and deliver under pressure—because no matter what happens, you have to deliver. Rain, delays, tech issues—no excuses. That mindset became my standard and now carries over into every shoot I take on. Events, brand work, lifestyle sessions—I bring that same level of discipline and reliability.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Professionalism isn’t about having the best gear or flashy edits—it’s about showing up, staying consistent, and delivering no matter what. That’s the DNA of Onkei. It’s not just a brand—it’s a commitment to quality, clarity, and capturing moments that matter.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting and I had a week to show them around, I’d keep it real—laid-back but intentional. I’m all about meaningful experiences, good food, and great conversation, so that’s the vibe I’d create.

We’d definitely hit up some great sushi spots—Miami has no shortage of them—and then spend time connecting with the people who make this city what it is. That’s actually what inspired my podcast, Miami Creators. It’s all about highlighting the entrepreneurs, artists, and risk-takers shaping the culture of Miami. The goal was always to go deeper than surface-level hype and showcase the stories behind the brands and movements.

If someone’s visiting, I’d want them to experience that same energy firsthand—the creativity, the grit, and the stories that don’t always get told. That’s the real Miami.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. First, my wife Nathy and our two daughters—everything I do is for them. Their love, patience, and presence keep me grounded and give real meaning to the work.

I also owe a lot to a few key men who showed up for me in different seasons: my brother Manuel, who led by example and taught me what sacrifice and grit look like; Max Borges, who believed in my potential early and opened doors that changed the trajectory of my life; and Doug Burris, my high school teacher, who saw something in me before I ever saw it in myself. Each of them helped shape the man I am today.

And above all, I give glory to God. Every opportunity, every blessing—it’s all from Him.
