We had the good fortune of connecting with Crissy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crissy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew I always wanted to start my own business; however it took awhile to find my creative niche. Before starting my own business, it was during the pandemic so I was listening to YouTube channels and podcasts which really helped and motivated me. So in closing, it was really finding my creative niche was my first thought process.
What should our readers know about your business?
I love creating pretty cocktails especially Instagram worthy cocktails. I mean “we all do it for the gram” 🙂 But I like to create drink experiences for my clients, whether is curating cocktails just for them, presenting beautiful bar setups. I like to think of the bar as my stage and I love to perform. I love seeing my guest pull out their phones and record my creations! Especially when the drinks begin to hit! It truly warms my heart!
How did you get to where you are today business wise?
Staying persistent! There are times when I do doubt myself. But I learned to stay in my lane and work on perfecting my craft daily.
Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
No! I remember why I started and remember this is my passion and it not always going to be easy. But nothing great in life comes easy, that just life.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Patience! I’ve developed a great deal of patience in my field. Perception is everything.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I initially started because I was in a low place in life and wanted to find something that belong to me. I turned a hobby into a business, but it came with persistent. I never thought I will be doing this. So I want people to know persistence, the drive to want to be better and most importantly creating beautiful drink experiences for my clients is the driving force behind my brand.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Brooklyn ! ( Williamsburg)
I would start off with a brunch that is aesthetically pleasing especially with the cocktails! Probably check out a pop up museum or anything interactive.. Definitely head home for a nap ( totally essential in your 30s) and then probably go to dinner then check out some fun bars, rooftops, parties etc in the area.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my TRIBE! I mean when I was first started some of my friends and family were super supportive and shoutout to the companies InnovativeCocktailCatering for helping with cocktail ideas.
