We had the good fortune of connecting with Cyndi Duran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cyndi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For years, I built my career in luxury retail sales, working with brands like Gucci and Chanel. While I thrived in that world, my first passion—the hospitality industry—always lingered in the background. My love for exploring nightlife, trendy restaurants, and hidden gems became a cornerstone of my personal life. Whether it was a buzzing nightclub, an intimate cocktail bar, or the latest must-try restaurant, I loved discovering and sharing these finds with friends and clients.

I became the go-to person in my circle for recommendations—like a personal concierge for nightlife and dining. But as I helped others, I realized something was missing: there wasn’t a seamless way to match people with the perfect destination tailored to their specific vibe or interests for the night.

That’s when the idea for CYZL was born. I envisioned an app that would do what I naturally loved to do—curate exceptional places—using technology to make it easy and accessible. CYZL was designed to be your personal guide to discovering South Florida’s hottest spots, whether you’re looking for a lively bar, a chic restaurant, or an unforgettable nightclub. It’s not just about where to go; it’s about creating moments that matter.

CYZL is the culmination of my passion for hospitality and my belief that the right experience can elevate any night. And now, I’m thrilled to share it with the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Starting a nightlife-focused social media app like CYZL is anything but easy. Success begins with an incredible team and a solid plan. Yet, as any entrepreneur knows, the journey rarely goes exactly as expected. The ability to adapt, stay open to fresh perspectives, and remain committed to your vision is what keeps momentum alive. I’ve don’t believe I have all the answers—but I do have a clear vision for CYZL. With passion as our driving force, I’m confident we can bring that vision to life. I truly believe that when you pour your heart into a business, anything is possible.

CYZL is poised to revolutionize how we discover nightlife experiences. In a world where new restaurants and venues pop up faster than we can keep track of, planning a night out can feel overwhelming. Hours are lost scrolling through Google, trying to piece together the perfect itinerary. CYZL changes the game by curating the best of the best for you. With just a few taps, you can apply filters to find the place that perfectly matches your mood, saving time and making every outing effortless.

What excites me most is CYZL’s potential to expand into other major Florida cities like Tampa and Orlando. With Florida’s rapid growth, there’s an undeniable need for a tool like CYZL in our neighboring cities. I’m thrilled to see how CYZL can transform nightlife and dining experiences not just in South Florida, but across the state and beyond.

The journey has only just begun, and I’m eager to see where it takes us next.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ah, you’ve come to the right person for this! If I had a friend visiting Palm Beach for the first time, I’d take them on a curated tour of my absolute favorite spots—the places that truly capture the charm and vibrancy of Palm Beach.

For lunch, we’d start at Le Bilboquet. It’s the kind of place where sophistication meets fresh, flavorful cuisine. Their Salmon Paillard is a standout—light, healthy, and absolutely delicious. And no visit would be complete without sipping on my all-time favorite cocktail: the St. Germain Paris.

After lunch, I’d suggest diving into the rich history of Palm Beach with a visit to the breathtaking Henry Flagler Museum. The architecture alone is enough to leave you in awe, but the stories behind it make it unforgettable.

If you’re in the mood for something more active, a stroll or bike ride along the Lake Trail is a must. This serene pathway hugs the water and offers some of the most stunning views and homes on the island. During the Covid shutdown, it became my peaceful escape and my favorite way to recharge.

As the afternoon winds down, nothing beats a margarita at the always-lively Palm Beach Grill. The atmosphere is electric, and it’s the perfect spot to soak up the Palm Beach vibe while sipping on a classic cocktail.

For dinner, depending on who you’re accompanied by, I’d either go on a date to Cafe L’Europe or to Harry’s with my girlfriends. Harry’s is great for cocktails at the bar and mingling, but the food is actually good too.

If you’re looking for music and high energy vibes after dinner, I’d make my way over to Cafe Boulud’s bar since they have a DJ now or Le Bar if you really want to party.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I honestly could have never done this without my fiancé, Charles Saunders. He believed in not only the idea of CYZL but in me to execute. Without his support and mentorship it would have been difficult to embark on a start up journey alone. I’d also like to give a shoutout to some rockstars in our organization that really helped propelled CYZL forward, which is our branding team, 2TON and our Sales & Marketing manager, Jeremiah Newman.
