Hi Damian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks in life are absolutely necessary. This one life that we have is the one chance that we have to pursue the life of our dreams. And people may not realize this, but the moment we are born, every day, decision, & conscious move is a risk. The day to day things we do are risks like driving our cars, traveling to different states or countries, and even choosing to NOT chase our passion are all risks. So I learned that if I’m going to take a risk, I’m going to risk big and go for what it is that I’m passionate about and taking that risk is exactly what got me here today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a cinematographer. One thing that sets me apart is my ability to tell a story and how I’m able to portray that to others which allows them to see a story from a different point of view. I got to where I am today by genuinely being who I am and moving with kindness and integrity within my business. Also, buy making valuable connections with other creatives who did similar things as me. Getting here was not easy, there were plenty of days filled with doubts & not knowing what would happen, but I chose to just stick to my passion and not focus on what I couldn’t control. So instead I just worked everyday on getting better at the skill whether that was taking more courses, studying other great cinematographers, and anything that helped me get to the next level.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d go to Organic Food King which is a great food truck, relax by the beach, and listen to soulful music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout every single person that I’ve worked with as far as clients, business partners, & most importantly the people that trusted me and chose to work with me even before I knew my capabilities. All the friends and family that I’ve made along this journey is the reason that I’m in business today.
