We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniella Vazquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniella, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started Brains & Beautyrx, it was about carving out space for something that felt missing. as women in healthcare, stem, and the lgbt community, we’re often expected to shrink parts of ourselves to fit into spaces that weren’t made for us. but feminine energy is powerful. it’s healing, it’s creative, and it deserves to take up all the space.
brains & beautyrx is my way of celebrating that energy, curating pieces that remind us we don’t have to choose between being strong and soft, smart and stylish. we can be it all, unapologetically. it’s about honoring who we are and showing up fully, because we all deserve to.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Brains & BeautyRx started as a little dream, but it became something so much bigger almost overnight. after the first 2 weeks of launching, orders came pouring in faster than i could have imagined, and it was overwhelming in the best way. my family and friends stepped in to help—packing orders late into the night, organizing chaos, and reminding me that i wasn’t alone.
it wasn’t easy, but it was deeply personal. Brains & BeautyRx is about creating space for women in healthcare, stem, and the LGBT community to feel celebrated and seen in a world that often asks us to shrink. i’ve learned to lean into the chaos, trust my people, and never stop showing up for the things that truly matter.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
if my bestie was visiting miami, it’d be all about curating the most unforgettable, cozy-meets-glam week. we’d start the morning at little hen—my absolute favorite spot. it’s like stepping into a dreamy, pastel daydream with lattes that feel like a hug and brunch that’s almost too pretty to eat. it’s the perfect place to slow down and catch up before diving into the day.
next, we’d head to wynwood walls for some artsy vibes and photos (because miami is all about the aesthetic), with a quick stop at panther coffee for an espresso that just hits different. beach days would be at south pointe park—laid-back, breezy, and perfect for a bike ride along the boardwalk.
evenings would be for sunsets and cocktails at monty’s coconut grove or the standard spa—because nothing feels more miami than sipping drinks with a view. we’d sprinkle in some time at the design district for luxe shopping vibes and end one night with live jazz at lagniappe, which is cozy and effortlessly cool.
of course, miami nightlife is non-negotiable, so we’d go all out at liv or e11even one night, but balance it with another quiet evening of good wine and conversation. we’d wrap it all up with a boat day—miami from the water is just unmatched, especially with snacks from joanna’s marketplace. it’s giving main character energy, ocean breezes, and all the memories we’d never forget.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
there are so many people and moments that have shaped Brains & Beautyrx, but if i had to give a shoutout, it would be to the women in my life who taught me to dream big and the girlies in healthcare and stem who inspire me daily.
also, a special thank you to the supportive voices who reminded me that taking up space with feminine energy is powerful. whether it was through a kind word, a little encouragement, or simply showing up, you all have made this dream possible. i wouldn’t be here without you. ♡
