Hi Danielle & Amare, what is the most important factor behind your success?
One of the most important factors behind the success of our brand would be having the support of both the art community as well as those who are interested in discovering new artists. Our brand’s goal is to create a platform for our artists to gain more exposure and discoverability. The success of our brand relies on the mutual relationship between having creators to promote, as well as expanding our brand name.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our entire business is about giving back to the art community and wanting to give them the opportunity for free exposure. There are many talented creators around us who are not getting the attention they deserve. What excites us most about our journey with Marked Essence is not only having the privilege of getting to know these artists on the way, but also being able to share the experience with our audience. We got to where we are today in our business through working diligently towards creating content. Our business is carried by 2, sometimes 3, people. This requires a lot of our personal time and effort. The challenges we face tend to be pauses within our progress which are due to lack of availability, work load, and managing our personal lives. The main lessoned we’ve learned is that consistency is necessary for optimal success. We want the world to get to know these artists and know there are many talented creators in the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We always recommend checking out The Wynwood Walls in Miami and the area surrounding it. This is a place that’s full of art and creatives are everywhere. From spray painted stencils on the sidewalk to outdoor vending events, Wynwood is definitely on our “highly recommended” list.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to give our shoutout to our supporters and interviewees. Our entire brand and work ethic relies on them and we couldn’t be where we are without them.
