We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Fox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, how do you think about risk?
I see risk as necessary for growth. Starting my skincare studio was a huge leap, but I knew betting on myself was worth it. The biggest rewards in my life have come from moments where I chose courage over comfort. I don’t take reckless risks—I trust my gut, do the work, and move forward even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. That’s where real growth happens.

What should our readers know about your business?
Skin Studio by Doctor’s Daughter is a luxury skincare studio rooted in clinical expertise and real results. What sets us apart is our deep connection to dermatology through my mom, Dr. Longwill, and our ability to blend advanced treatments with a personalized, feel-good experience. I’m most proud of creating a space that feels both high-end and approachable. A place where clients feel seen, cared for, and confident in their skin. Getting here wasn’t easy—I had no roadmap, just a vision and relentless drive. I’ve learned that growing a business takes resilience, trust in your gut, and the willingness to evolve. What I want people to know is that this studio is more than skincare. It’s personal. It’s legacy. It’s about empowering others to feel good in their skin and know they’re in the best hands.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in town, we’d start the day with Pilates at Fuze with Emily Kanter, grab coffee at Navi, then head to Skin Studio for facials (non-negotiable). After that, brunch at Tina’s in the Gables, followed by a beach day to unwind. Dinner would be at Surf Club—one of my favorites—and we’d wrap the night with drinks at the Champagne Bar.

Throughout the week, we’d mix in time in the Design District, a Nofar Method pilates class, walks in Sunset Harbour, and plenty more lunches and dinners along the way.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, my shoutout goes to my mom. She’s not only a powerhouse dermatologist but also the reason I fell in love with skincare in the first place. Growing up, I watched her build her practice with integrity, passion, and care for every single patient. Her example gave me the blueprint for what it looks like to lead with purpose and intention. She’s my biggest supporter, my mentor, and the reason I had the courage to start my own studio. I wouldn’t be where I am without her.
