We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Matthews and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I view risk as something that leads to building confidence if I take the risk and things work out well my confidence in myself goes up. If I take the risk and it doesn’t work out, then I build my resiliency. My ability to handle difficult times and not let it throw me off from my ultimate goal and purpose for too long. In business moving forward with risk will inevitably allow you to earn or learn. Learning from failed attempts is what has allowed me to build an international business. I took a risk on not going back to a 9 to 5 job after being pulled from the work force for 3 years rehabbing from a brain injury. I decided to start my own business, one that the majority of people don’t succeed in – a network marketing business. I had to endure family, friends, people I was trying to bring on as customers or partners telling me I was doing the wrong thing, these things never work out and so much more. I knew in my heart I wanted to give it all I had because I was focused on the possibility, not the probability. I think that is why most people see risk and back away, strong probability of failure. I see the risk and think well what if? What would the possibilities be if it did work out. And that has made all the difference.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a brain trauma survivor, I recovered from a TBI after being hit by a drunk driver that my doctors told me I would never do any further healing from a year in, they said to accept my injury as my “new normal”.
I refused to accept that and began searching for answers to my physical challenges outside of the mainstream western medicine model. I ultimately found a biotech discovery that was being brought to the world through word of mouth, not the traditional pharmaceutical route. The discovery, stabilized redox signaling molecules, turned my health around and once well I knew I had gone through this for a reason and was meant to help others learn about this breakthrough.
I partnered with this biotech company and began my business through this word of mouth model (network marketing, or MLM). I was laughed at by local business organizations, I was told businesses of “this sort” were not welcome at the chamber of commerce. I was told I was crazy by my friends and family who all wanted me to get a real job and go back to a stable, secure 9-5 option now that I had healed. What I was attempting to do was something the majority of people failed at doing, but I listened to my internal guidance. I knew I was meant to share this with the world and over the last 8 years I have done just that.
Not only have I helped thousands with their health through educating on the redox signaling technology but I have also created systems, tools, training and support for others to join this business and be part of this mission. My organization has now expanded internationally and I lead a sales force that did $2.2 million in sales of the redox signaling technology last year.
We are bettering people’s lives and being a force for good in the world – giving people their health back and helping them generate wealth. Along the way I have witnessed the power of limiting beliefs and internal blocks stop people from creating success in this business so I have developed teachings, private consultations and workshops that teach the ancient wisdom of yogic philosophy. The tools, techniques and views of the yogis are what have allowed me to grow so much personally, they have given me the insights to overcome obstacles and the skills to lead me through difficulties. I facilitate yoga nidra and yoga therapy – ancient practices that get to the root of blocks and clear them from the system.
I help people reach their inner potential holistically, mind, body and spirit.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To me the natural side of Florida is the best side. I love the local springs, getting out away from the crowds and connecting with the beautiful landscape. The natural springs offer 72 degrees year round so they are refreshing and revitalizing.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom Lynn Matthews. She has been the one handing me the right books, introducing me to the right ideas, aligning me with the right people and creating the environment for me to blossom.
