We had the good fortune of connecting with Dashing With Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dashing With Diamond, why did you pursue a creative career?
The reason I chose to pursue a creative career like YouTube is because I love to be in front of the camera, and I love the backside of the content creation process. Yes, I love to take photos and talk to a camera, but I also love the editing and analytics side as well. I think being on both sides of the camera helps me understand a lot more. For example, if I saw an editing style done by someone else I am able to understand how they did what they did. Also, with understanding analytics, I am able to understand what does well on my socials, and what time is best to post. In addition to that, I love how pursuing a creative career challenges me on a daily. Most and foremost it has allowed me to explore and express myself in a different way which has helped mold me into the person that I am today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create content for both YouTube and Instagram where I show my life as a college student in Miami. Something that I am most proud of so far would be the documentary series that I put out on my YouTube channel last year called, “Life After My Mother’s Murder” in this series I documented the first year of my life without my mother. I am extremely proud of this moment because it symbolized how strong I am and what I am capable of. I’ve gotten to where I am today by being persistent, humble, and patient. Where I am currently was not easy at all it was for sure a roller coaster. I overcame the challenges I faced by continuing to do what I love, learning from my mistakes, and not being too hard on myself. I learned many lessons along the way but the main lessons that are important to me are to be nice to yourself, being your own harshest critic can ruin you, and most importantly trust yourself, because no one knows you, better than you know yourself. Lastly, I want the world to know that this is only the beginning, and there is more to come in the soon future from my brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my best friend comes in town, first I would take them to my favorite spot to go thrifting, my friends and I love to thrift! After we go thrifting we would probably go get lunch at Sawa in Merrick Park. After sushi, we would then probably go home and relax. Once we’re rejuvenated we would then go to Basement Miami where we could hang out and go bowling and ice skating.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mom, and my aunt Danielle. Without my mom or aunt supporting everything I do I would have never made a YouTube Channel.
