We had the good fortune of connecting with David Rousso and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind my success and the brand’s growth have been my passion and the culture we’ve proactively cultivated within the business. This business, a family venture for over 20 years, is something I’m deeply passionate about. Passion is more than just a word; it encompasses essential attributes that contribute to our success: determination, focus, and persistence. At Pedini Miami, we don’t accept ‘no’ for an answer. We adapt, realign, and tirelessly pursue our and our clients’ goals. We’re committed to innovation in every aspect of our business, from client experience to internal procedures. Above all, our brand’s success is driven by the incredible individuals in our team. They are caring, professional, responsible, and proactive, creating a fun and engaging environment for both colleagues and clients. This positive energy is palpable to clients working with us.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
We are in the business of guiding end users, designers and developers to create a unique space within the Kitchen, Bathroom, Closet and Living spaces. Our products are manufactured in Italy with a 10 year warranty. The experience we offer at Pedini Miami is boutique and personalized. We understand the world has different personalities and styles so we try to match our clients way of working and living to give them the most effortless experience. What sets us apart is our dedication to always being there for our clients. We go back 20 times if we have to to make sure the products are in good shape, if our clients need any services, we are always there for them. Aside from our design and installation skills for our products, our service is unmatched by anyone else in the industry.
It was not easy to get to where we are today, it took a lot of learning, trial and error, and adapting. We have overcome our challenges by being passionate about what we do, excited for growth and seeing each challenge as an opportunity to come out better on the other side. One of the biggest lessons Ive learned is to always see things as they are and not for worse, see them for better and always have a vision for whats next.
This is a family business that was started by David Rousso Sr in the early 2000’s, and now just about 4 years ago David Rousso Jr joined the family business and it has been a beautiful last 4 years. The dynamic between a young, ambitious and creative individual in David Jr with the wisdom and reasoning of David Sr it really makes a perfect balance for how to push this business forward year after year.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well my life directly revolves around Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and sometimes Design District so with that being said, I would probably take them to Level 6 in Coconut Grove for a nice Sunset/Night Bar setting. It is a beautiful rooftop in the heart of the grove where you get an amazing sunset view. A few food spots I would indulge in are Mandolin in Design District, Amal in Coconut Grove, Luca Osteria on Miracle Mile, Perry’s Steakhouse in Merrick Park. I would definitely take them to a Miami Heat game if we are in season. Take walks through places like Miracle Mile, Cocowalk, etc. Of course I would take them to iconic places such as Miami Beach, Venetian, Design District etc.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Success is not reached by yourself. There have been several great role models, books, training programs, sports that have shaped my success to be where it is today. I will start with the role models that have directly impacted my life personally and professionally. First one would be David Rousso Sr, my dad, without him this is not possible. Everything I know about business, management of people, and how internal leadership style has been due to his coaching. I know it’s cliche but I really would not be the person I am if it was not for his wisdom and his passion. Second Role Model would be Angel Nicolas, he has been coaching me for about 4 years now and without his expertise and touch again I would not be who I am today. Lastly, Carlos Fernandez, my uncle who also works in my business, he is quick to let me know when I could have done something better and for that I can’t thank him enough, it’s good to be surrounded by people that want to see you grow and be better. In terms of programs, the Tony Robbins business mastery program has been life changing. Words can’t describe how impactful that has been and how much it has shifted my perspective on how I should lead and evaluate my business.
