We had the good fortune of connecting with De Lani Rolle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi De Lani, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one that preserves storytelling for generations to come. I want it to be one that provides security and stability for my children and their children. I want people to remember me for my dedication to people and telling their stories in the most authentic way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the Owner of Let’s Rolle Productions. Let’s Rolle Productions is a professional video production company in Tampa, Florida, specializing in documentary-style and advertising film production. We work with small businesses and organizations in both the for-profit and nonprofit spaces. Using a blend of authentic curation, empathy, and efficiency, we capture and share your story – helping to bridge the gap between you and your audience.

I am most proud of simply starting my business. Starting is always the hardest part for me and there were many times where I chickened out.

When I started Let’s Rolle Productions I was a stay at home mom for almost two years. I felt like I had pushed my dreams and desires to the side but I had so much creativity in me that needed to be let out. Once I put my self out there so many opportunities became available.

It was not an easy journey. I was unemployed with zero income trying to start a business, sounds crazy right! But any change I got, I saved to be able to invest into my LLC and get things going.

I’ve learned that you can’t allow the fear of failing to deter you from taking a chance on yourself. I know that I have a unique way of telling stories and creating and someone is looking for me to succeed for them to also be successful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love all things food and nature. I would suggest the nature trails around Tampa. A stroll in downtown Tampa, Hyde Park, and Ybor City. I would eat at the Sushi House in Ybor, visit the Hyppo popsicle shop to cool down and just enjoy the beautiful weather around.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my husband (Danzell) and my mom (Erica). These two have been instrumental in encouraging me to use my creative gift. I am a perfectionist so I often strayed away from creating out of fear of failing. They constantly remind me that quitting and failure is not an option. Because of their love and support I took a leap of faith in creating my dream business and the fruit has been so rewarding.

I would also like to shout out Revealing Truth Ministries because it was there where I learned what my gift was! I was surrounded by amazing individuals and an amazing culture that cultivated most of what I know today about content curation and videography.
