Hi Demarion, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I would want people to remember me as someone who was filled with light and love first and foremost. It is important for me that everything I do is from a place of love. I want to leave the people in my life with the tools they need to continue to pass on generational wealth and literacy.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Oils for your Coils is a all natural hair care line that focuses on moisturizing, maintaining, and strengthening hair. All of our ingredients are tested to ensure we are distributing products that have no lasting side effects to our consumers. I still reflect on the start of this company and I am so grateful on how far we have become. To be in stores and be able to travel to expose my brand to other markets is a true blessing.

The process to get where we are has not been easy and it still isn’t! I am constantly juggling marketing, production, cash flow, and so much more to keep the business growing. The biggest challenge is maintaining a schedule and sticking to it! I’ve learned that is key to success as well as consistency

The story behind Oils for your Coils started when I watched a documentary on how ingredients in hair products are causing long term health issues. I wanted my brand to be different! I understand health is wealth and I preach that everyday.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first, the beach! There is no way you can visit the city and not hit at least one of the beautiful beaches we have. Food is one of me love languages so I would definitely go to my top spots like Yardbird, Little hen, Victory lounge for brunch. The Wharf, Monty’s, Cooper’s Hawk for lunch and happy hour. Nobu, Marion, Estiatorio Milos for Dinner. I love hanging out in Wynwood as it has many places to see art, meet new people, as well as family friendly spots to choose from.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my Mother, she is truly the person who believes in me and pushes me to chase my dreams. She taught me that what is for you, cant be taken from you. Her sacrifices does not go unnoticed. Without her, I would not be here, literally!
