We had the good fortune of connecting with Desi Lu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Desi, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because I am passionate about using words to inspire and transform. My goal is to impact the world positively, offering nourishment for the mind and soul through my work, while maintaining a respectful distance that allows for personal interpretation and growth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is distinguished by my unique style and the way I intricately weave words together. My story and purpose also set me apart, as they infuse my work with authenticity and depth.
I am most proud of my resilience—the ability to keep going even on days when it feels like no one is listening. My proudest moment was realizing the true worth of my art and my words. I am excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead.
I am where I am today because I showed up for myself and put in the work. It wasn’t easy; the thought of quitting was always in the back of my mind. However, I overcame these challenges by learning consistency, which in turn taught me discipline. Pushing past the innate tendency to be lazy and putting in the effort was difficult, but it was essential.
I’ve learned the importance of never giving up and keeping the goal in mind. It’s crucial not to give too much attention to distractions. Consistency and discipline are key to overcoming challenges and achieving success.
I am truth, I am conviction, I am correction, I am art. My story is still being written, and I invite everyone to join me on this journey.
