We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Dixie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond Dixie, what is the most important factor behind your success?

The most important factor behind our success has been consistency. There have definitely been times where we felt burnt out and lost creativity with our music but what helped us get out of that mindset was our consistency and just pushing through that time. It has not only helped us to keep grinding but also to further our music career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

We are Gabriela and Bianca, otherwise known as Diamond Dixie. We’re an up and coming country duo based out of Orlando, FL. Over the past 13 years, we have played shows from local church festivals to dive bars to major festivals, filmed multiple music videos and traveled back and fourth to Nashville to write and record music. It definitely was not an easy process to get to where we are today but with hard work and determination, we were able to break through any difficulties that we came across along the way. We’ve learned that consistency is key throughout it all. Being consistent in our music, shows and especially in our brand as Diamond Dixie.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

So we were born and raised in Orlando, FL aka Disney World so naturally that would be everyone’s “go-to” spot to go to in Orlando but that’s not where we would take a friend. We would first go to Craft and Common in Downtown Orlando to grab some coffee (the best coffee in town)! Then we would go to Ole Red, yes Blake Shelton’s restaurant, to grab a bite to eat for lunch and play a quick show. Ole Red is one of our favorite places to play in town. After that we would go to Cowboys to go line dancing and probably stay until closing since we have the BEST time there! And finally we would get a late night meal at Gringos Locos… the best “hole in the wall” Mexican restaurant in town!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

We want to dedicate our shoutout to our Dad. He’s the one that got us started in music at a young age and without him we wouldn’t be the musicians and young women that we have grown up to be. We love you Daddy!
