Hi Diana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Sure! I still have my online Store DCShopstore that I started in 2021, I sell handmade accessories and clothing from Colombia, I’m from there, so, it’s very important to me to sell great quality Colombian textile. But this time I would like to talk to you about how I started like a Digital Marketer. I have a master degree in Marketing and nowadays everything is virtual/digital, so I have a friend “WTFish Lounge Owner” who offered me to manage their marketing brand, I was so happy about it, so that was my first brand, then Foxy skates (this brand is extremely beautiful) they hired me to do their marketing too. I’m so in love with them that I enjoy making their content: I create the videos, the pictures and put everything together. I really enjoy my job and I’m so thankful for it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
To be a Digital Marketer, not only I have had to study marketing, but I also have to be creative, and that is one of my greatest talents, I’m very creative planning photos, videos. When I got my Master Degree in Marketing I never thought that this field was going to change so much and Also I needed to reinvent myself doing what I do today. I create scenarios to show people how great the brands are, so to do that I definitely need to “fall in love” with those brands and then magic happens. It’s crazy, I’m always “brainstorming”…. sometimes when I’m at home, just thinking about the new skates that came out recently, I see the pool in front of me and BOOM!!! So many ideas start to come out of my head, I get dressed, set up the tripode and I start “doing my thing” most of the time, everything comes out much better than I thought. Fun Fact: I don’t work with brands that I don’t trust. People has always told me that

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I definitely take her to eat, I’m always thinking about food, like 3 years ago when I was blogging people used to think I was a fashion blogger because of my style or a Food Blogger because I was in a different restaurant or food event in South Florida. Definitely eating It’s my hobby, I’m very Grateful to live in this beautiful city like “Fort Lauderdale”, I love having brunch in my favorite waterfront: Shooters, and one of my weekend plans is to walk around the riverfront, there are so many places to stop by in that area during the day or night like Salt7. Another beautiful place I like to spend my Sunday is Lauderdale by the Sea, having breakfast, lunch or brunch at Aruba’s Cafe in front of the beach is the best feeling, I’m from the coast of Colombia, so I’m very used to the beach, breeze, palm trees and sunny days. I always say to people: Have you noticed that almost every day in Miami there is a new restaurant? So, when it refers to Miami I can’t stop talking because I need more than a weekend to explore so many restaurants, but right now I would take my friend to spend the day in Bayside and have brunch in La Industria, you don’t want to miss those pancakes!!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give Thanks to all the brands that have trusted me. Especially to WtFish Lounge and Foxy Skates, These were the first ones that hired me and believed in me from the beginning, they have been my support, because of them I started doing what I like and being happy about it. I’m very grateful because I can work from home and still take care of my baby boy. My family is my biggest support, my parents always encourage me to do what I like no matter what, even my Dad helps me when he comes to visit me, he becomes my photographer, I love him so much, he still treats me like his daddy’s girl. My brother is a PRO in social media so I bother him a lot !! hahaha.
