Hi Dolly, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name is Dolly Hope, I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. I have 8 siblings and was raised in a Caribbean household. My parents were strict! They have instilled values in me that I have taken with me into adulthood. I currently instill these values into my own child to this very day.

While our upbringing definitely doesn’t determine our fate, it can have a significant impact. I didn’t grow up wealthy and I wasn’t born with a silver spoon but somehow, someway my mom always made things happen. My mom is the reason why I am so determined and the reason I push myself so hard. I can’t fail in this life and it’s because of how she raised me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Growing up I have literally always been into health and beauty. As I started to mature, I realized that the beauty industry changes so much and that the older I get, the more I have to take care of my body on the inside and out. I sat on the idea TheDollyyCollection for about two years before I decided to make the move. I was going back and forth with thoughts like “what am I going to sell?”, “will I be good at this?”, “where do I begin”. Amongst other questions of course, but those were my big three that I constantly racked my brain with. Until I came to an actualization that if I don’t just start, I probably never will.

Easy? No. Not one bit. I’m a whole mom! And When I first started TheDollyyCollection, I was working two jobs and taking online classes. It was hard! I also buy my own equipment to take my own product pictures, do my own editing, website, flyers and posts. I even have to find my own vendors for inventory etc. I was literally branding and doing everything else on my own. It’s super exhausting, but I ended up truly enjoying it. I’ve learned that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, Miami is ALWAYS a vibe! If my girls and I were out there for a week or even a weekend, I would probably stay at my favorite hotel – Eden Roc. We would first hit the strip for some daytime vibes, walk around drink and find some food, maybe go to the pool or a hookah lounge. One of my favorite spots to eat is the World Famous House of Mac. If you haven’t eaten there yet, check them out!!!!

At night there’s always so much to do! Clubs, strip clubs, lounges…. Depending on what’s going on at night we could easily hit up LIV, KOD or Star Island just to name a few. I would also be finding myself at someone’s yacht party before our mini vacay is up. Boat rides and yacht parties are super lit. My girls and I love good vibes, good weather and good drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My boyfriend. He is literally my rock. The most positive and levelheaded person in my life. He is such a great support system. Motivating, uplifting, and speaks life into me daily. He has helped me mentally elevate to a different level than I was 3 years ago.
