We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Rachna Buxani-Mirpuri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Rachna, what do you attribute your success to?
I have always believed that your intent directs your earnings. I started Buxani Counseling Care to make a difference in the lives of our clients and the community at large by providing the best mental health care we could. When you take yourself out of the equation and do purely to serve, the earnings and success come naturally.

What should our readers know about your business?
Nothing is easy in life, but I feel with the right mix of passion and hard work one can achieve anything. What sets Buxani Counseling Care apart from other practices is our extreme care and compassion for clients. From the first phone call to our practice seeking help, clients are met with empathic care that makes their mental health journeys easier. There is so much I have learnt in the process of being an owner and leader to my team. But the biggest learning is that a good leader needs to empower her team to achieve their own goals along with what the organization sets for them. A leader is only as good as her team.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite things to do would be renting a boat and going out into the water. There are many places in the beach and the gables that I love to visit. Jaya at the Satai, and Grammercy in the gables are some of my favorite food places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely! My mother played a pivotal role in encouraging me to work and have a career in spite of being from a community that does not encourage female work participation. As for my business, my husband and my aunt who lives in St. Maarten have been key mentors for me. From how to start your own business to setting up logistics and processes, there two individuals have been my go- to.
