We had the good fortune of connecting with Dre Baldwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dre, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Discipline! Showing up every day to do the work. Discipline builds confidence, and while few people seek discipline, everyone wants to be confident. Since people come to me for help with their Mental Game, discipline is the secret sauce for taking your mindset to a new level.
What should our readers know about your business?
My company Work On Your Game Inc. Takes the tools necessary to reach the top 1% of the sports world and translates these tools to the professional world and to everyday life. Specifically, our framework teaches Discipline, Confidence, Mental Toughness & Personal Initiative. What sets us apart is the fact that my background is from a professional athlete perspective, and is steeped in personal ownership.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Miami, you’d have to start in South Beach! There’s no place in America like it, and I’ve been everywhere in the country. We’d eat at some spots in Wynwood, SoBe, Brickell and Coconut Grove. I like exercise, so we’d run on the Beach Boardwalk, Brickell Key, the Key Biscayne Bridge, and Coconut Grove. I’m an early riser and daytime person, so no nightlife for me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Robert Greene, author of 3 of my favorite books: The 48 Laws Of Power The 33 Strategies of War The 50th Law These books help shape my in terms of competition (being that I come from a pro sports background) and in personal development and leadership.
