Meet Edgar Saakyan | Producer of media projects and events

We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgar Saakyan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edgar, what do you attribute your success to?
The main factors for the success of a company or personal brand for me personally are: integrity, honesty and fairness. These are the main whales on which I keep my entire reputation. The reputation I have been building for many years, both for myself, for my projects, and for my partners.

Also no less important key feature for me is to put myself in the place of potential partners, to see them through their eyes, to feel.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I went to a university of economics. I got a degree in strategy. I thought about continuing my career in government organizations, but I got bored with it in the first month. I switched to something I enjoyed and now I am very good at organizing events, creating media portals and working with top-level celebrities or businessmen.

I sometimes look back and realize that most of the key moments that have happened in my life are a symbiosis of hobby and work. And I also realize that I’ve essentially been doing the same thing for years, but each time I’ve gotten better and better, combining new environments and new countries. I just know where I’m going and all my steps are definitely related to the main goal.

And of course, things don’t always go smoothly. But when a rough patch happens, I solve it quickly because I’m always sure the next step will be several times further and higher.

All of my milestones in life are deep strategy plus intuition. I’ve definitely learned that I don’t want to work with people or projects where I feel uncomfortable.

My key factor is to solve problems 🙂 I try to solve problems in the spheres which are interesting to me. But as I consider myself a multifaceted person, I have the opportunity to develop in many areas. Even in spheres, which are not profile for me, I can find the decision of problems and give positive result. Before the pandemic I was involved in organizing beauty contests, fashion week, and I also had an agency of 1000 Influencers in Eastern Europe. And besides that I solved problems for influential people in the field of strategy and business. Now I’m doing it all over the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t like to stay more than three days in one place on a trip. So, I would show the main attractions of each major city in the United States. Naturally, we would start in Miami and end there as well 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A person’s personality is shaped by the society of each individual, as well as his or her hobbies. Throughout my life, at every stage, I have been surrounded by people who have honed my character, my experiences. There are over 100 of them for sure. Each has left an important imprint on my life at one time or another.

But in addition to people, there are hobbies. I enjoy the result of my work. From the successful implementation. But the base of it all is a certain number of hobbies. I would single out one movie and one book, by the way. Guy Ritchie’s movie, Revolver. My favorite movie. And also the book by the Estonian business school, “The Theory of Managerial Struggle” by V. Tarasov.
