We had the good fortune of connecting with Emiliya Poptsova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emiliya, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Most important is growing on your self love, self care, what is important in your life or I should say who is important and what pushed you to achieve what you ave. Achieved today. Is it ambition? Is it the fact that I love boats and being out on the water? Is it because I love animals and look forward to my next destination like seeing penguins in Antarctica or seeing the sloths up close in Costa Rica. What is important to you? For me is helping others realize to not give up on your goals and dreams. Out it in writing change your lifestyle start eating healthier get into those fitness classes. Write down everything it manifests on its own with hard work and dedication. And doing what you love you won’t even notice that it’s work it just becomes a hobby. My motivation was my mother knowing her osteoporosis may grow so I want to do the best I can to show the world to my mother and to spend as much time possible as I can with her. My motivation was always my mother. Seeing what is happening with the world today makes me think how grateful we should be for being able to do the things we can. I live for adventures, I live for self love, my family and my puppy. If you love yourself everything will come.

Growing up a little kid I always dreamed of traveling I started when I was 8yrs old. My family immigrated from Azerbaijan when I was a little girl we moved to America back in 1995. I grew up in Brooklyn and became a manhattan girl. I lived in Wall st for a few years. I studied elementary teacher did my bachelors in Brooklyn College then also got in the Masters program for early childhood studies. My family was full of teachers. I also started a travel blog it was called Blonde Globetrotter where I had sponsors to help me blog. My love for travel grew over the years I live traveling for animals I am now at 77th country which I visited Antarctica, Italy & Haiti was my country number 77 last year. I am still growing and continuing my hobbies. I moved from Ny to Miami 4 years ago when COVID hit. The best decision I ever made. I was modeling swimwear here in Miami while growing my fitness goals. I was working as a stewardess on the weekends working on boats making tips while teaching and doing observations with children during the week. I ended up buying a condo for my mom moved her out here from Ny as well. A year went by I decided to go into Sea school up in Fort Lauderdale and got my captain’s license. I also got my real estate license last year. It’s my first year and I love it. I love investing. I am very blessed to have had the opportunities that I have in my life. Life is such a thing you never know where it’ll take you but I’m glad I’m here and continuing to grow and love real estate and travel. I just attended the Miami Open Realtors event and it was amazing networking.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The itinerary for visiting Miami I say is start with South point pier it’s beautiful there, visit the Faena or 1hotel beach. Have a spa day at the Standard. Check out the restaurants in south point like Milo’s, Smith & Wollensky, Prime fish, Call me Gaby, Planta and Mila. Also need to check out Wynwood or the Island Deck gardens.. Weekends are fun at Kiki or Swan, Delilah, Contessa, just soo many restaurants. One of my favorites is the faena theatre dinner with a show a must! It’s phenomenal. Lincoln road is nice for shopping or Design district lots of shopping and cute restaurants. Brickell has a nice rooftop Sugar, Komodo or a fun restaurant turns into a party is Marion. I like sunsets at the Mondrian restaurant or pool on the bay side the views are incredible especially during sunset.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout to my mother who made me who I am today. She is my role model who I have got the itch for travel from her. She has opened my eyes to the horizons of the world. I am thankful and very blessed I love you very much mom. I would do anything to make her smile.
