We had the good fortune of connecting with Esteban Sarzosa Brazzero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Esteban, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Throughout my life I have had the opportunity to work for more than 10 years for various brands in Ecuador and the United States, this has undoubtedly helped me to be able to create and fulfill my dream of consolidating myself as a digital creative dedicated myself to the areas of graphic design, photography, web development, advertising, and Marketing.
One of the things that inspire me the most is the idea of taking the business to the digital world, be it with social networks, a photograph, a web design, or marketing strategies, and that through this they can generate a unique customer experience, without a doubt I am a fan of local businesses and seeing them grow through my help is fantastic.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
It all started with a decision that at that time I did not know would mark my life, and that was to study marketing, that decision even led me to meet my wife and make many changes throughout my life, but well this story begins in the University when I started my studies in the area of marketing, this led me to train in creative areas such as photography and graphic design.
I started my first experience in a marketing agency in Ecuador as an intern and I fell in love with my area even more and made the decision to specialize in digital marketing through Google and Facebook certifications now called Meta and I started working with recognized brands such as Honda, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Sushi Corp a recognized restaurant chain in Ecuador and other local business brands, at that time I was making designs, community manager, digital advertising and then I continued on my way and I had a proposal to work as a university professor in the area of marketing and creativity.
I really enjoyed teaching but at the same time I was active in my area keeping some clients as a freelancer. In the learning process, I completed my master’s degree in marketing at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. That step led me to carry out three investigations that I present at the Universidad de Palermo in Argentina.
The process has been hard but wonderful at the same time, but I always had the emotion and at the same time the intrigue of being able to work with the American market and I could not imagine that in 2021 on a tourist trip to Miami, which will always be one of the cities that excites me and I feel at home, I had the opportunity to help a local business to get out of a difficult time after the pandemic, generating a series of digital products that range from photographs, web design, digital strategy, guidelines, that is, everything else I could do so that this business does not close and we did it , an incredible feeling of happiness invaded my body but I did not imagine that the story would continue and not only with a client but with several people who needed help to be able to make his business grows and thus he ventures into a project helping more than 7 companies in the Miami area of which I feel very happy because at the same time he helps countless households that depended on this business.
This story is just beginning and the only thing I’m sure of is that dreams come true with hard work. Now I am ready for a new challenge and why not in the American market
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Where do I start, one of the coolest places every time I’m there I always find something new to do is in the Wynwood neighborhood where I feel that all artists and creatives feel at home, in addition to having a sin number of local businesses that each is more spectacular than the other if food is about the best American-Greek touch in Lauderdale by the sea beach, and why not a time of fishing on the pier, ideal to meet people with many stories, for the night of concert with local artists in Hollywood Beach to culminate with a walk in the middle of the city in Miami Beach
Alright, so let’s jump right in! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there a person, group, organization, book, etc. that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?
I want to dedicate this to all the people who have been part of my growth and have motivated me to always be in constant change, to the incredible people who have opened many doors for me in the city of Miami and especially my family, my wife, my son, my mother and my brothers.
