We had the good fortune of connecting with Felicia Frazier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Felicia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been a curious person, interested in creating and reimagining various facets of life, from my passion for restoring old properties to devising innovative business solutions in my previous leadership roles in the corporate world. Building something, creating something, and solving problems have shaped my life for as long as I can remember, so starting a business felt like the natural next step in my life journey. Curiosity drives me forward always. I love the journey of creating and all the benefits, the life-affirming energy that creating, testing, and executing delivers.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dolly and Oz Presents is more than an art gallery—it’s a platform for creative courage. I showcase work across mediums: photography, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, and paintings. I host artist talks, live painting sessions, and launched a weekly Sunday evening series called “Wine Down Sundays.”
That series was inspired by the great literary salons of Paris, where writers, artists, and thinkers once gathered to exchange ideas, challenge convention, and build community. I wanted to create something like that for our time—a space that blends art and conversation, beauty and truth, ritual and spontaneity.
“Wine Down Sundays” has become a community favorite. Sometimes formal, often informal, always intentional—it’s where strangers become neighbors and artists become storytellers. We gather not just to admire what’s on the walls, but to listen, to feel, and to connect.

It hasn’t always been an easy journey, but I’ve found joy in connecting the dots between my former career in book publishing and my work in the visual arts. Because at the heart of it all is a story. We tell stories through the art we hang, through the conversations we have, and through the lived moments we share. Whether in words or brushstrokes, photography or sculpture, I believe story and art shape the very nature of our souls. They help us remember who we are—and who we’re still becoming.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, I love this question! Here’s how I’d plan the perfect day:

I’d start with a sunrise stroll to South Pointe Pier, coffee in hand, to take in the beauty of the morning. From there, it’s off to Level One on West Avenue, home of the world’s hardest—and best—workout.

Once everyone has recovered, we’d head out to explore three of my favorite museums: the Rubell Museum, Pérez Art Museum Miami (with a pause for a sip on the veranda), and then back to South Beach for a true gem I adore—the Wolfsonian.

By early evening, around six, we’d gather at Dolly and Oz Presents for Wine Down Sunday, where art, community, and conversation set the perfect tone for the night. We’d close the day with dinner under the stars at one of my favorite nearby spots—Motek, Call Me Gaby, or Abbalé—all delightful and just a short walk from the gallery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dolly and Oz—my mom and dad—have planted countless seeds of what it means to live boldly and fully embodied. The most precious seed they nurtured in me is resilience—grit, paired with the joy of moving through challenges. From an early age, they showed me that life is a balance: things will go wrong, things will go right, and both are part of the journey. What matters most is keeping perspective, knowing that each new day offers a fresh chance to reframe, to begin again, and to keep moving forward with courage and purpose.
