We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabe Alonso and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“Trybe is my event coordination & hospitality operations company. We specialize in event curation, on-site venue operations, talent acquisition, and VIP coordination. We partner with some of the most notable venues across the country. Some of our partners include SLS Hyde Beach, Groot Hospitality, and Homecookin’ Hospitality to name a few. What sets us apart from the rest of the hospitality groups operating in Miami is our attention-to-detail and customer relations, making us thrive in the aspect of elite customer service at all of our events & venues. We grew from a small events company hosting one-off nights at nightclubs in Wynwood to partnering with some of the biggest names in Miami’s hospitality game. Overcoming challenges, trials, and tribulations is part of the game on the road to success with any business – Trybe has done a great job of running through walls for our clients and accomodating to all client requests ensuring an astounding hospitality experience for every guest who comes to our events. Our company has evolved throughout the years, growing with Miami’s next generation of hospitality operators in collaboration with us to create the new & improved hospitality scene in Miami for years to come. I’m very excited for the future of my company & how it continues to thrive in the hospitality industry for years to come.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
“I have a pretty set-in-stone itinerary for anyone who wants to experience Miami in the best way possible with me – First stop, we’re grabbing a drink at Swan in Design District with my guy Purple. There’s no better way to start your night than with a “Purple Reign”, one of my favorite cocktails. Next, we’re going to the SLS South Beach Hotel & having dinner with my guy Andrew Dulac at Katsuya… and we’re DEFINITELY getting the tuna sashimi. Right after indulging on some of the best sushi Miami has to offer, we’re walking over to Hyde Beach for “Haus of Hyde”, the hottest house music event in Miami on Friday’s nights hosted & operated by Trybe and Groovers Only. Lastly, to close off the night, we’re hitting GALA Miami with my guy Jojo Lahoud to experience one the most exclusive clubs in Miami. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with any of the places I’ve mentioned. They’re all the best of the best when it comes to Miami’s hospitality scene.”
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
“I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to all my friends & family who’ve supported me, believed in me, and motivated me to be a better person throughout my journey in the hospitality industry. To name a few special people in specific, I’d like to thank my amazing parents for supporting me always, Anthony Barrios of Vintage Liquors & Elit Promotions for always having my back and pushing me to become a better man, Jake Londos & Chris Cordero from Hyde Beach at the SLS South Beach Hotel for believing & trusting in me, Bryan Herrera of Rockwell Talent for the constant words of encouragement to work harder, and Mo Garcia for mentoring me throughout my journey, showing me the ropes of how to succeed in the hospitality industry. “
