Hi GABRIEL, what inspires you?
There are a few things that inspire me. One- Seeing others be the best at whatever they were meant to be. We all come to this life with a purpose and a destiny that has been written, the fact that we acknowledge what we are good at and we create the opportunities to do more of what we love is already serving your purpose. Secondly, receiving a thank you from someone because I was able to help them, create change and impact their life. The way I serve my community is by impacting generations to come by offering financial literacy, educating individuals on how to best prepare their finances in anticipation so your mind is at ease and you can enjoy feeling secure and stable. With that said, this motivates me to continue on my journey of becoming the best in my field.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am The Financial Diplomat, Gabriel Montesino, born in Dominican Republic, raised between Rhode Island and New York with passion and drive to succeed on my own terms. Throughout my previous years in sales, they’re grew a love for finance, a space to educate and inform the community on financial literacy. Based on life experiences, challenges and struggles which made me appreciate the importance of setting your future up with a credible and respectful financial home. I became a client of Northwestern Mutual four years ago, that’s when I discovered my passion and embarked on the mission to be the best Financial Advisor I can be. Not everyday has been easy, being an entrepreneur has also come with a handful of struggles, but I have built the discipline, remained consistent, coachable and set those boundaries needed to stay focused and feel respected while being honored. I have now broken barriers, achieved the unachievable and will continue to build my legacy for the generations to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is where my heart is. I love to host and show the world just how fabulous this tropical city is. Below are a few of my personal favorite must-see spots or experiences to live while in Miami. Bayside- Walk the shops, then do the tour of the rich and famous Eat at La Industria- Nicky Jam’s restaurant. Check out the schedule for any sports or concert events happening in any of the arena’s or stadiums in South Florida. Brickell- Great Italian food at North Italia or an amazing steak at Baires Grill. Bike riding in Key Biscayne. Enjoy dinner at Mesa Mar or Hillstone in Coral Gables. Have a night out in the beautiful Coral Gables, Calle 23, Cooper 29 or The Gramercy. Lastly, definitely can’t leave Miami without heading to the Beach, depending on the moment, if you want South Beach or a bit more quiet and we can head up north. Hope you enjoy it!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I love this – 100%! Many have contributed to the success I am having. But if I had to choose one, it would be my close friend William Hsu, which introduced me to the audio presentation of Kevin Trudeau, Your Wish Is Your Command. Throughout my journey, I learned from my mother, books and mentors, but learning what the power of the mind truly is and applying it with Your Wish is Your Command was powerful. This is when things really started to happen in my life, when I stepped into greatness. Thank you so much Will!
