We had the good fortune of connecting with Jean Cidelca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jean, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by many things such as: history, cooking, and music to name a few.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
“Art is what you make of it”, and the tours I conducted is what the visitors make of it making the experience very unique to every individual. My art is creating memories that last for a lifetime by connecting commonality with people. I am the most proud of being in a position to educate people of their roots, culture, and history.
I am where I am today because I wanted to give back to people that did not have the same opportunities as I did. It was not hard to be where I am today because there was always a plan with action to follow through.
I have learned that to not take gain or loss of a business personal because that’s the nature of business.
I want people to know that the truth that they are seeking is available to keep on searching until they find it. My business might be the place to find it, and if not it will be a stepping stone to the destination of truth.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First museums would definitely be on the list, public parks both local and regional, the beach, local markets, and downtown.
The best places are those that provide diversity like a casino, there is something for everyone the horse racing, shopping, gambling machines, poker, watching TV and so on.
When it comes to eating out, buffet or food halls are the best specially here in Miami due to the diversity of cultures this city has to offer.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Overall everyone from classmates, friends, and family that I have known contributed to my success whether it was directly or indirectly. To be more precise my academic background is the main reason to where I am today.
