We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriella Guerriero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriella, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have been an artist ever since I can remember… there was nothing better than sitting down to draw or paint. When I paint time flies and I am at my happiest! You gotta do what you love.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art has always been inspired by emotion… from my darkest to my happiest of emotions. Currently my art has been fun, happy, and hopefully inspiring to others! I try to create relatable, every day items that can be deconstructed and turned into works of art… such as my donut sculptures!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Usually I like to visit the mall for the latest fashion trends, colors palettes, and more… but I also love live concerts… so I think we’d def go watch a live show at some point. Furthermore, there’s nothing more inspiring than Wynwood and its many murals… they are captivating and full of life!

Foods… I love everything out of the box, I believe The Salty Donut or Mojo Donuts would have to be a must to visit… not only the flavors are incredible, but the design and color palettes are also insane.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have always loved the work of other artists… Tim Burton has been a great inspiration to me with his dark and whimsical artistic approach.
