We had the good fortune of connecting with Gaby Bain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gaby, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued a creative and artistic career because I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling and self-expression. My fairly new fashion marketing agency has allowed me to help others feel seen, confident, and artistically elevated.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My agency is a fashion marketing based, creative agency. We focus on content creation for brands incorporating photography and videography. We style people, direct shoots, and create scroll-stopping visuals that bring brands to life. What sets us apart is our mix of elevated aesthetics and real strategy—every detail is intentional.

As marketing students we started The Edit with a love for visual storytelling and turned it into a business. It wasn’t easy—there were slow seasons, self-doubt, and a lot of learning curves—but I stayed consistent, trusted my eye, and kept creating.

I’m proud of how far it’s come. We’ve helped clients feel confident in their image and seen in their story. Biggest lessons? Protect your creative energy, say no when it’s not aligned, and don’t wait to be “ready,” just start.

What I want people to know: this brand is about more than style. It’s about showing up with presence, clarity, and confidence—and making art while you do it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my business partner, Leah Haynie. We have motivated each other and pushed ourselves in ways that I never expected. Us meeting in college and starting a marketing agency together was definitely not on my bucket list, but I’m so grateful this is something we both want. She’s brilliant, creative, and overall a light hearted person.
