We had the good fortune of connecting with Gaby Viteri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gaby, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance has been a key factor in my career since day one Bc I have been a mom since before my career began, so both have always been very important. . All my jobs have in a way been shaped by my work/life balance or lack there off. I only accepted jobs that allowed me to have enough flexibility. On that same token I passed in a lot of opportunities Bc it was not a good fit for my life at the time. As children grow and as their needs shift, this balance has also changed. Today I’m in a stage in life where I can devote so much mire time to my business than I ever would have before. My takeaway is that there is no recipe for the perfect work/life balance. It’s something that flows and changes depending of what stage in life I’m in.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a jewelry consultant and personal stylist. I work with women form all over including brides. What sets me apart is the care and respect I have for my clients, as well as my passion and deep knowledge of the brands I partner with. This allows for a fun and curated shopping experience. In addition, I have continued to implement and perfect virtual and contact-free practices with the safety and convenience of my clients in mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love South Florida because there is so much to do in such close proximity. If I had my BFF visiting, I would split my time between palm beach and miami. I’m also a big museum junkie so I always include a visit to my favorites the Norton in WPB and the Perez in Miami. Both have great restaurants so you can make a day of it. In Palm Beach I always do a little car sightseeing and end up at the breakers hotel for a meal or drinks. It never gets old! Brunch at the Colony is not to be missed both for the decor and the food. For an afternoon of shopping I love the Royal Poinciana Plaza and can’t leave without gelato and coffee at St Ambrose. The interiors are inspiring and the outdoor seating is great for people watching. In Miami I love visiting the design district and I always make a pit stop at Mandolin for a meal. No visit to Miami is complete without a walk thru Wynwood and it’s many interesting galleries and boutiques.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I read the book “you are a badass” by Jenn sincero and it was the force I needed to stop doubting myself and start my business. I have reread it a few times since, and it has helped me during times where I needed to pivot and make changes in my career. At the suggestion of the book, I started to meditate and that’s the most influential factor in my success. To start and end my day with mindfulness is such a game changer and I can’t recommend it enough.
