We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle McClymont and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giselle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

My thought process behind starting my business was “How can I provide quality education to meet the exact needs of each student and their learning style?” Even before the pandemic, extra academic assistance was needed for multiple students. I knew the pandemic and lack of face to face wouldn’t make it any better. My thought process was to provide quality education with the child’s learning style at the core, in this way I could help my community.

What should our readers know about your business?

I own a private tutoring company, Tree Stars Learning. We service students from Pre-School to Grade 12 and we ater to children in the South Florida area. What sets us apart is our approach to learning. We believe in a multi-sensory approach and customize a unique education plan for each child to ensure their success. I’m most excited about how many children we have been able to help. We have been able to give students the tools needed to build their academic confidence and then watch them soar. When parents call me and they are excited, its great. But when students are eager to call and show off their learning, it’s another level of joy!

To get where I am today took a lot of work, dedication, networking, and faith. It wasn’t always easy, because let’s face it- 15-hour work days, 6 to7 days a week is no joke. But the outcome of being able to help students is so worth it!

In order to keep going, I reminded myself of the desired outcome daily, which is to help students build a solid educational foundation and fall in love with learning.

I’ve learned so many lessons along the way. You don’t have to know everything to get started. You just need to start, and it’s okay to fail forward because we learn from our mistakes if we choose to.

The world should know that Tree Stars Learning is dedicated to helping students, they are the future which makes them a pretty big deal.

“The foundation for children is education and learning starts at the roots.” – Giselle McClymont

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop…the beach. I would take my friend to Publix first because Pub Subs, fruits and water are a must for a successful beach day! After a nice morning at the beach, we would go shopping at Aventura. Then, I’d end the night at Bourbon Steak Miami; the food, drinks, and service are wonderful! I also love Painting with a Twist, The Wharf Ft. Lauderdale, and WATR restaurant at the One Hotel! Those are a few of my favs and must-see places!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a big thank you to my husband, Damion. He has always encourages me to bet on myself. He not only encourages me with words, but he backs it up with action. I was afraid to “take the road less traveled,” and he gave me the motivation I needed to do so! I’m forever grateful to have that support and understanding. He too, is full time entrepreneur, so he just gets it!
