Meet Graciela Pereira | Actress and Digital Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Graciela Pereira and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Graciela, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I decided to pursue my dream career as an Actress, because I want to be that resource for others, as an artist inspiring, healing and educating through the interpretation of compelling stories.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At the moment I’m most exited for a couple of projects (I can’t name at the moment) which I’ll be working on in collaboration with other incredible artists. As to the process of achieving my goals up to this day, it was all possible because I decided to take the risk of doing what I love, instead of what I thought was the right thing to do. It was definitely challenging to make this decision, having a full time job and my family together, but I had to think: “Will I’ll forgive myself if I don’t at least try?” The answer was a clear no. That moved me towards what I am today. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as an Actress is that there are no characters, but just different versions of yourself. When we put ourself in those imaginary circumstances and live fully, we tell our own story, and that’s what people want to see.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a very chill gal, but I definitely love to go out and try new restaurants. I love food and I believe that culinary experiences teach you a lot about different cultures and places. I would take my friend out to eat for sure, then hit the movies and watch a good indie film that we can later analyze and talk for hours about. Or, if we’re feeling like dressing up, we would go out to eat, of course, and then hit a local bar or pub. I love places that have good music and that the ambiance has a good vibe. A few of the places I love to go to where I live in Miami are: Sugar, Brickell City Centre, Paper Fish, DC Pie, and I could be here for hours sharing great places.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my family. There are no words to describe how thankful I feel for their unconditional support and faith towards my talent, despite the challenging circumstances I’ve faced throughout my career.
