Meet Hana Dolgin | Independent Kangen Water Distributor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hana Dolgin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I am also a jazz saxophonist and have never had a full time job in my life! Except for once having a steady weekend job, I have always been self-employed. When I moved to NY from Israel (where I grew up) in 1989 to pursue my jazz studies, I wanted to have a flexible schedule, so that I could take music lessons, play music jobs and go out to clubs at night to hear live jazz. Music was my first priority for many years, so I built my life around it. While living in NYC, I had worked as a waitress, a street vendor, a Gestalt psychotherapist, a translator and interpreter, and a real estate broker. When I moved to Miami at the end of 2008, the real estate market had crashed, and I was looking for something new to get involved in. Promoting Kangen water suited me because I had always been interested in a natural and healthy approach to life, and our company has a lucrative commission structure for sales of Kangen water units. I was already used to working on commission from my days in the real estate field, so it seemed feasible to me. I also feel that promoting Kangen water helps empower people to take care of their health and live a more proactive life, which is something I am happy to encourage people to do.

What should our readers know about your business?

I am very persistent and self-motivated, meaning when I believe in something, I will pursue it even if others are not as interested or don’t see the importance of it. I have learned to be more selective in where I focus my marketing efforts, after at first I was less discriminating. Since Kangen water can benefit every living creature, I wanted everybody to know about its wonders, however being that time is limited, I try to qualify people based on their degree of interest and responsiveness to my contacts. I wish I could get the message to everybody, but some people have other priorities or just aren’t that interested in their health! Kangen water is truly a blessing! Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being that I live in Miami, of course the beach is one of the places that people who aren’t from the area love to visit. A few of the beaches I like to go to are North Beach in Miami Beach and the beach at Bal Harbor with its fishing jetty! I love having access to such nice beaches within a 15-20 minute drive! I also love eating all kinds of foods from different countries, so I would take them to some of my favorite restaurants, like Rama9 Thai Dish and Sushi in North Miami and Bombay Cafe in Oakland Park, which is a great Indian restaurant. Some of my other favorites are Sriracha House in South Beach that serves a variety of Asian rice and noodle dishes they make in wok, based on your selection of ingredients and sauces, etc. I would also take them to jazz clubs, because I love jazz and am a saxophonist myself, so there’s Le Chat Noir downtown Miami and LaGniappe in midtown.

I was fortunate to find out about Kangen water through an ad placed by a California-based Kangen water distributor who was very successful and wanted to expand his team through the Miami market. At that time, there was a location in South Beach where Kangen water presentations took place and he directed me to go there. We have stayed in touch all these years and he has provided information and support when I needed it. His name is Dr. Dave Lesman. Also, my husband Antonio has been very supportive of me in this endeavor and in many others. He likes to help me carry  heavy stuff and organizes things when I participate in events. He also does the installation of Kangen water units in people’s houses or businesses, since he’s very handy!
