We had the good fortune of connecting with Henrique Franhani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started working professionally as a filmmaker, actor, and photographer as soon as I graduated from high school in 2018. For the first two years of my career, I was just basically trying to do and participate on as many projects as I could. I did a lot of work for free in the beginning for me to grow my networking and to showcase my talents since many people didn’t know who I was. In 2021 and 2022 I completed two internships and graduated from college, which really helped me to become the filmmaker that I am today. However, my greatest accomplishments are my film projects, such as “Emotional Pianist” (2021) and “Right My Wrongs” (2022), which have been selected and recognized in many film festivals. I got to where I am today by the grace of God, He is the one that allows me to have these opportunities and to have the support of my family, friends, and collaborators that help me become the filmmaker that I want to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had my best friend coming over to Orlando for a week, I would obviously take him to the theme parks for the majority of the days that he would be here. However, since I am a local, I would actually try to show him some spots that many tourists don’t know. I would definitely take him to the Historic Downtown Winter Garden for us to grab something to eat while enjoying the sites of this beautiful centennial city. I would also take him to the Orange County Regional History Center in Downtown Orlando, in order to check out their exhibits. Then at night we could attend a show at The Doctor Philips Center for the Performing Arts.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout out to Jesus Christ because He has been guiding me throughout my life, and it is through His strength that I can accomplish the plans that He has for me. I also want to give a shout out to my parents who are my biggest supporters ever since I have started my filmmaking journey.
